Right on top of a nerve bed too so the pain shot up my leg to where i couldn't walk for a few days.

What you guys are talking about can be a very serious thing. Multiple boils in the armpits is a carbuncle, and it's all about Staph.

Staph infections can reoccur, and they're HIGHLY contagious. Look closely at your favorite porno actors...look on asses and pelvic areas, especially, where Staph LOVES to rear its ugly head (no pun intended).

Why do I mention porn stars?

Staph is ALL OVER THE PLACE in porno land. Shit, I even got it. And that shit will live on your body unless it's 100% dead, so be careful. Don't go thinking that boil on your leg is the last of it. Staph lives in your skin...no one's "prone" to get a staph infection; it's just that you didn't properly medicate after your boil...meaning a STRONG antibiotic for 10 days. I've even heard of 30 day regiments for particularly nasty Staphs.

And really, really watch your personal hygene more than ever while dealing with Staph.

My family had a crop dusting service in the 70's 80's and I was just a kid of about 11 or 12. I was sitting on the wing on one of the cropdusters one day and some of the chemical got onto the back of my leg, I got 3 boils from them all withing about 6 inches of each other....Nasty shit we are spraying on fields then, I'm sure worse now....

I had one on my right ass cheek when I was 15 yrs old. Couldn't sit down - and I was embarASSed as hell. I thought it was a fucking BAD pimple (dumb kid).

I got a gnarly staph infection when I was in the Philippines on vacation, back in 92'. I think I cut my foot on some coral, but it started out as a little pimple and then swelled like a mofo. When I landed back in the US, the thing bursted at my Grandparents house.

I would continue my battle w/ this for years and years and was on multiple antibiotics. I would have to go and get lanced and drained w/ wicks. Not fun. Staph is gnarly. My Grandma died after her triple bypass because she developed a staph infection.

The shit scares me.

I'e had them more than once. I normally get them on my shoulder for some reason. Anyways, the key it to catch them early. If you wait, it will be some of the most painful shit in the world to lance, and deal with.

As soon as you think you have one. Deal with it. Saves a lot of pain, puss, and grief.
