Yes, I have a 2005 XJ8 L. I love it, it's all luxury, very fast and it has the longest wheel base in it's class and when you are 6'4", that matters!!

Take XKR only.
400PS from 4.2 motor is terrific experience.
Actually they don't eat a ton of fuel because of the twin-turbo installed.
It's not a sport car. It's a high-speed luxus car.
If you are looking for real control take some other.
If you want to cruise and have the possibility to get 60mph in 5.4 seconds - that car is for you.Comment

Jaguars are pos's. Expect all kinds of electrical and mechanical problems that are very hard to fix. Alot of mechanics wont work on jaguars for that reason.i buy massive xxx dating traffic.Comment

The old Jags had a lot of problems but the new ones built at the Ford plants are not as problematic.
They are very cool cars. You can't go wrong by buying them. Sure, the average mallrat or hood rat won't be extra impressed by it but any woman over 24 will appreciate it more than your average BMW.I've trusted my sites to them for over a decade...

I have an '02 xj8 vanden plas, i get about 17-19 mpg depending on how i drive...i love the car, def highly recommended

I've got an 2004 XKR Silverstone edition - looks beautiful, 400hp, flies and takes corners well. I love it - never thought about fuel consumption as I live on an island and there really isn't that far to go.
No repairs needed so far.
Dinged the rims a couple of times.
7yr warranty.
I'm trading in for the new Jaguar when it comes out - I've seen the lower model but I need to wait for the R model. The new Jag has paddle gears like the Aston Martin.
BTW I've a 1967 Aston Martin DB6 for sale. Silver, in near-perfect condition, many recent repairs to bring it up to original standard. Left-hand drive. Totally awesome car but for the same reason above (I live on an island) I've nowhere to go in it!

I currently have an XKR convertible and an S type. had XJ8s XJ6's the quality has improved tremendously since Ford took it over. I love my XKR just got back from Montreal, Its a sheer joy on the higway. Mrs FUBAR drove down to Fla in the S type No problems, I would recommend Jaguar to anyone looking for a quality luxury automobile
