Throw Down: Goin' The Max Pumpin' Iron
Ah!!!
Spent the past 6 weeks back in the gym pumpin' iron. It amazes me that the older I get the stronger I get. The new data on fitness is just awesome. You're never too old to start and no matter how long you've stayed away from fitness you can get back on track in a matter of weeks if you follow sound advice, diet and regimen. The one dietary thing I've had to change broke my heart: Dairy. Especially ice cream. I LOVE ice cream and now have to switch to ice yogurt. Pisses me off. I was amazed that I could still hit over 300lbs on the bench after a long abscence and growing fast. I don't feel like a workout unless I can do reps at 400 minimum. I grow muscle real fast and don't use supplements. If I used supplements I would be a monster fast. I need to lose another 15lbs of fat I figure, maybe less. I lost 10lbs already. I figure in a few months I'll have maxed out clothing size as I'm already on XXL shirts. So this time out, diet changes are the big change. Also I know more about vitamins than before. There's more precise natural food technology products and a kick ass natural food store around the corner. No additives in the meats. Living in Los Angeles I have to take 10 times the amount of antioxidants though. That's another change. So, I'll be continuing the mass/strength building til June when I should be back to 400lb on the bench and then start sculpting. Anyone else see new procedures and products in fitness nowadays? |
