President Bush's 2005 income: More than $700kCheneys report nearly $8.82 million
WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Bush reported adjusted gross income of $735,180 for last year, on which he paid $187,768 in federal taxes, according to the president's return released Friday by the White House.
The White House also released the 2005 tax return filed by Vice President Dick Cheney and his wife, Lynne. According to the return, the Cheneys have overpaid their taxes this year and are entitled to a refund of about $1.9 million. Their adjusted gross income was about $8.82 million. Cheney got how much back? http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/04/....ap/index.html :1orglaugh |

Yes and Bush said the rich needed tax cuts because they were paying 40% in taxes. Well now the highest rate is 35% thanks to Bush's tax cuts which Bush is in that bracket, but do the math. His taxes equal 25.5% of his adjusted gross income not 35%. Shows how they lie to get what they want. No one pays 40% taxes unless they're Bill Gates or Warren Buffet and well he don't need any fucking tax break. Even they say that.
$735,180 in adjusted gross income $187,768 in federal taxes. That's 25.5% not 35%. even under the OLD system he wouldn't have paid more than 30% of his income in taxes. Who here would bitch about 30% in taxes if they cleared over $500K a year afterward? I sure as hell wouldn't. List his address as a PO Box in Chicago. I thought it was 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington DC? http://i.a.cnn.net/cnn/2006/images/04/14/bush.taxes.pdf |
hehehe do you guys honestly bealive Bush made just 700k? i think he forgot to add at least 2 more 0's to that number

Rich creates jobs is bullshit. If I win $300 mil in the Powerball I'm not creating no god damned job for no one. Also I'm more than likely going to put most of the money away. So that means it's NOT getting spent. Our economy is reliant of consumer spending. Give $100 to 3 million poor people and I guarantee it's getting spent. who shops at wal-mart rich or poor? Um..poor. Wal-Mart all by itself is responsible for 1/8 of our ecomony. |

They obviously need a load of software to pull the remaining bodies from under the rubble and house the homeless. Classic case of charity beginning at home :winkwink: |
