i cant fuckin take these people anymore!!

i live a in a really nice nieghborhood, but 'white trash' moved in, its a newly married couple in their 30's with an 8 yr old (thats only here on the weekends)...they moved into the guys' parents apartment (downstairs from here).

1) why on earth would u live with your parents before AND after your wedding? (its been about 6 months now since the wedding).

2) the wife told me that she has PETS RATS! wtf??!!! :eek7 (its acutally against the lease).

3) since they turned the bedroom (below ours) basically into an apartment, i'm woken up every morning between 8am and 10am by him playing a video game and cussing at the top of his lungs and rumbling walls (surround sound maybe??) oh and max people allowed in the apartment is 4 but they have 5 on the weekends wiht their son being here only on the weekends.

4) his kid is circling my office window on one of those power wheels thingys and screaming (no one else is playing with him though)!!! he did this shit ALL LAST NIGHT FOR 4 HOURS TOO!!!! I had to close the window but its goregous outside, i shouldnt have to close my windows.

5) last month, we heard the guy yelling at his mother really loud, cussing at her and sayin shit like "you're barkin up the wrong fuckin tree!!!" .......what kind of guy yells at their MOTHER that way! That pissed me off.

6) The door is constantly being opened/closed/slammed. I'd guess around 60 or so times a day, all hours of hte day/night.

why the fuck should i have to cater to these people?? I SHOULDNT! So i called the landlord about 7 times in a 30 day period. They sent out "warnings" or whatever. Obvioiusly, they dont give a shit.

Now tomorrow, the landlord is coming by to renew our lease but i REFUSE to live like this, what would YOU ask the landlord to do???? Theres no way in hell Im living here like this, i'll go insane! This is a VERY nice community and why this couple was allowed to move in, i have no clue.

heres a pic of my place, as you can see, its no crappy area. we pay twice as much for this apartment than some of my boyfriends brothers' pay for their mortgages. :2 cents:

WebairGerard 04-14-2006 09:12 AM

that sucks. Unless you really love it there it might be time to start looking for a new place. Can you file a complaint?

Grapesoda 04-14-2006 09:12 AM

solution: make more $$$ and move the fuck away :thumbsup

TurboAngel 04-14-2006 09:12 AM

Awwww I know how you feel hun, I'm so sorry! I still love ya.

Yea, it sucks. But if your landlord is too much of a pussy to do the right thing (and you can tell him I called him a pussy :) ) then you don't have much of a choice if you want peace and quit. Unless maybe you can get Johnny Law to come by and do something about it.

You may have to move, because they are there and they are bothering you beyond your tolerance level.....

It may suck; but, there it is.

Thanks babe! You know I know all about living next to bad people :( I seem to move next to bad people all the time.:( My neighbors new b/f and I had a fight just this past Sunday. They seem to think that they should be allowed to come over and stay as long as they like and I'm not allowed to tell them to go.:( WTF? My g/f told me not to become friends with ANY of my neighbors, she's told me 1038948575775875 times now and all it does is upset me now. I wish I had listened to her.:(

im prepared for this option. Its my last resort option.
tomorrow before we sign the lease, i want this problem to be solved. otherwise, im not signing shit.

if i find out that they are not on the lease downstairs, then Im requesting that they move immediatly. if they are, i'll bring up the rules they're breaking and see what taht does. last resort is to request being moved into a DIFFERENT apartment in here for 1 more year while we house hunt.

majorbitch 04-14-2006 09:40 AM

That's fucked up. I would probably tell the landlord about it one last time and if they don't do something about it - move out. =\

HorseShit 04-14-2006 09:51 AM

that sucks.. a good reason to get out of a high rent and get a mortgage..

exactly. its just a bit of a long process to find a house and all that crap, which is what we planned on starting this year (this month actually). would suck to move 1 yr shy of that. but i gotta do something.

Young 04-14-2006 10:01 AM

buy a house babe. it's a good investment. apartments are a waste.

calibra 04-14-2006 10:05 AM

I know what it's like, I had a similar situation. :( And I'm really sorry because it's nothing you can do about it but either wait for the assholes to leave for good (which is never gonna happen) or shoot them. I chose the second option (kidding)

Neighbors are people to wave at when you pass each other. People to be friendly to, not friends with, imho.

AdPatron 04-14-2006 10:13 AM

Sucks to be you.

Devils_Child 04-14-2006 10:14 AM

If your stuck on living there. I would sit down and talk to the landlord. Tell her what you told us. Then say it's them or me. If your complaining, I bet others are too or just as anoyed. If there was atleast one other person complaining. I am sure the landlord would do something. Tell them to do a better job of taking care of there long term people.

It sucks, but no matter where you go, it seems like there is one couple/family thats just a pain in the ass. Even in a house. I have lived here for allmost 3 years and I can't stand 2 of my many neighbors. One partys all night long. No problems there, but when the cops come, they all run into our yard, destroy the wifes flowers (I get to listen to the wife) and spooks our dogs at like 2am so we all wake up. Just cause there is like 8 people in our yard running from the cops. Even after we put up the fence. Then the trash thats all around. Beer bottles, pappers or whatever. Then the swearing lol. Not like I don't swear, but my son doesnt hear me. Unlike them. I could go on and on. They just had a party last weekend and I am still cleaning up and I am sure they will have one tonight. bah.

Anyways. I would try to talk to the landlord if you really like the place and tell her your on your last nerve and shouldn't be. Ask another neighbor to complain. I am sure if there is a few people complaining, the landlord will kick em out or something else..

Nasty JoJo 04-14-2006 10:24 AM

Deej 04-14-2006 10:28 AM

do you have a video camera baba? tape that shit...then show the landlord...every chance you get.....by the time shes watching it and she hits the 12th scene, and you say oh its not even half over.....she will get the point :winkwink:

oh shit, so you can definatly relate then. its very frustrating. i would love to by a house that is like at least 1/4 of a mile away from anyone else but that will never happen im sure :(

you are right about "its them or me" thing. I would think she would pick us over them ESPECIALLY if they're not even on the lease (which if they are, they're breaking ALOT of their lease's terms which could also be grounds for evection). So i still have a few things to play around with.

If they are on the lease: gonna tell them about the noise, swearing, 5 people living in a 4 person max apartment, and pet rats (all against their lease.)

If they are NOT on the lease: Its them or me. Lets see..no money (from them) or a lot of money (from us). This should be a clear choice for the landlord.

GREAT fuckin point!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*breaks out the video cam* :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup
wonder how much shit i can tape before she comes over tomorrow. Thanks!

Sly 04-14-2006 10:43 AM

From everything you have said, I really don't see what the big deal is. Ok, they're annoying you, thats what happens when you live in an apartment. You're going to have that everywhere. The problems you mentioned are very nit-picky. Rats? Five people instead of four? Obviously the landlord doesn't care, I'm not sure that he should if it isn't causing any major problems.

Why on Earth would you be paying a rent twice the price of a mortgage and live in an apartment? That doesn't make sense. You may have a nice apartment, but it isn't THAT nice. Buy or rent a house, you'll save money and get your peace and quiet, maybe.

CyberHustler 04-14-2006 10:45 AM

i got a room you could rent!

xNetworx 04-14-2006 10:56 AM

Quick Solution: Keep calling the police

Best Solution: Move

Radical Nathan 04-14-2006 11:07 AM

ah, the old "tape the BS" ploy! works like a charm!

Evil Doer 04-14-2006 11:57 AM

I'm having the same problem with the asshole tenants I have. I rent out a house of mine to two families, and the lady living upstairs is batshit crazy. She destroyed the downstairs tenants property, put dogshit on his car, and ruined the inside of my lovely home. We're still in the process of removing her, it's taking extremely long.

If I were you.. I would stop paying rent and move out asap. If they decide to kick out your asshole neighbors it will be an extremely lengthy process, so I would use up your security and get the hell out of there.

Anyways, good luck.

crodj 04-14-2006 12:04 PM

Neighboors lack consideration.

If you're paying more a month for rent than your brother is paying for his mortgage, sounds like you should be living in a house with a yard. Why deal with trailer trash who obvioulsy have no respect in lieu of just moving out and buying a house..

good luck...

sounds like you're gonna need it..

maybe get a petition going around with the other neighboors, show it to the landlord. maybe that could help.

:(

Sly is right 100% here.. if you don't like it get out of the appartment complex...

I've been in a house for 6 years now, get a good landlord and your rent may not even go up much at all (we have not had an increase in rent in 6 years)

We'll be getting into our own house soon hopefully, just saving some more cash for the stuff we want, and to consolidate some other debts (though we may just consolidate the debts into the mortgage)

See, I just don't get it. We tell our kids to keep quiet when they're inside and we're on the phone....so we do KNOW that sound travels...

People can be so inconsiderate and oblivious to how loud they are....and, even though there are noise laws...between those hours, did it ever occur to anyone that not everyone is on a nine to five schedule? No.

I hope it all works out for you....

EXACTLY!!

Baba... Renting has it's benefits and purposes in life, but maybe this is a sign that it's time to buy a house. When you rent, your rent money goes towards paying off someone else's property. When you own your own house your mortgage payments go towards paying off your own property.

And it's always your money. You can usually sell a house for more than you paid for it and get ALL your money back. You can't do that with an apartment.

i agree 100% sweetie!

we lived in a crappy small 1 bedroom apartment before this, we just wanted to get out of there cuz we knew it'd take a year or so to get a house of our own (so we moved here). its hard to GIVE someone all that money every month and have NOTHING to show for it in the long run, ya know???

the 1 yr lease is flexable at least (thank god). pay 3 months rent so its doable. *sigh* i just want 1 good week of sleep. i miss it.

Sosa 04-14-2006 01:12 PM

Try to find a house in the same neighborhood and move.

than why not get yourself a house? You save money and never have to deal with other tenants, ever. I mean since you're paying up the ass for an apartment I don't see why you don't just buy a house. Would make much more sense. I don't care how great the neighborhood may be.. You can get a nice house in a neighborhood just as good if not better.
