Alternative to Epassporte...do we need one?

If someone were to open another processing company similar to epassporte would this be good or bad, and would you give them a try?

Manowar 04-14-2006 04:39 AM

depends on what they offered and the company behind it.

if it was someone like ccbill, yeah i'd use it

Good more competition the better.

BabeHunter 04-14-2006 04:50 AM

only if it will come from a well know company

competition is always good

wdforty 04-14-2006 04:51 AM

I don't see a need really...

Competition is good, it keeps each company on their toes and they will try to keep competitive rates.

Many companies have tried to be the next PayPal and failed. Remember Bright Pay? Supposedly owned by former adult webmasters and was supposed to be the next best thing to PayPal. How about Fire Pay?

Ikobo, StormPay and MoneyBookers all began by accepting adult then changed their minds.

I'd love an alternative, because if ePassporte were to go away, it would really affect a lot of people. Right now they're doing a passable job but with no competition, they have no incentive to improve customer service or lower their rates.

Stay well away from them. They've frozen a ton of accounts and will not release the funds.

They're no longer a peer to peer generic payment service anyway, they only process payments for tangible auction items.

G-Rotica 04-14-2006 07:49 AM

Ibill aint doing anythng right now...

I like Epassporte because it's convenient for me - I don't have specific needs and perhaps because I've resolved any issues immediately, I don't have complaints.

I do think, however, that some real competition is required. It would keep prices competitive, innovation in the forefront and Customer Service as top priority. I do think, however, that it has to be from someone with a clean reputation, financial backing, experience and they can't come out with less than what Epassporte is presently offering. In order for them to be successful, they need to be an apple to apple comparison. It would also be quite interesting if they can sign-on CCBill to process payouts through them - then it would be a card in HIGH DEMAND.

Customer Service in Multiple languages would be helpful.
Some form of 'payment default' resolution would be good.
Ability to wire funds into/out of foreign banks would be nice too.
The ability to pull statements.

I'd have to sit and think about this more but I think I've covered a few items that would provide a great service.

Servhot 04-14-2006 08:05 AM

Well, as epassporte wasn't able to prevent us with a biz account within 2 years I really would love to see some others doing a better job
