Watermark hotlinked images on the fly with PHP.
I found a script that lets you watermark hotlinked images on the fly w/o altering the original image. Pretty handy script, even though I haven't used it yet. Figured that I would share.

I haven't looked at it yet... but if this works and works properly...It could be a very handy time saver for certain projects.

Thanks for the link :)
|
i posted an easy way to do it on gfy in an earlier thread if your interested .. and a way to combat hotlinked movies by embedding them into a webpage on the fly when they are requested

very nice

Will it work if the browser sends no referrer?
|
neato...
|
GReat link thanks :)
|
It's quite good.
But: Has anyone brought it to work with transparent PNGs? Did not work for me... |
If the clients browser doesn't send any referrer it won't work. Everyone with high security settings or privacy software like norton won't see the altered image.
|
Hmm... does it cache the watermarked image or does it really run a script and generate a new image for every link hotten?
fx: <<<whistles as he remembers his 404 script being run 2000+ times within a few minutes because of fusker>>> |
