325,000? That's a lot of dead seals.

As a Canadian,I do not like it at all.The aboriginals have the right to do it and there should be some sort of control with the seal population..I'm sure if they were all in the States they would have to do the same thing

I'm all for doing what needs to be done but you'd think there would be a better way to do it. Such as a LARGE caliber round to the head. I mean they get close enough to hit them with a club, how the hell can you miss?

325k is alot - but how many are there? What if any problems would there be if the seal population was not culled?

In Aus we regularly cull our Kangaroo population because it costs way too much to keep buying new boxing gloves for them all

Actually it's 325,000 when you add in the 91,000 that have already been killed. And to put that in a human perespective if we were to cull the HUMAN population at the same ratio, we would have to "only" eliminate the entire popualtion of the Unites States, Australia and Canada COMBINED. So who's willing to line up for that gig? Come on it's for the "betterment" of humankind. There just too fucking may of us.

We're at the pointy end of the food chain so we get to make the decisions about these types of things not animals. Pretty simple really.

If the whale and shark population was not fucked up - the chances are there would be less need to cull seals, tho who knows.

Seals reproduce that fucking fast it's unbeliveable... there are roughly
2 million unwanted dogs and cats per year killed in American, We don't see them going extinct and you don't see any protests about that do you?

Um 6 milllion seals 60 million dogs. Another problem created by idiot humans that are too cheap or retarded to get their dog fixed.
