Read this if you've ever shopped at Amazon

Just found this on Digg..

is jeff bezos ripping you off?

This is a painless way to check how amazon's price for that book, dvd or camera compares to similar online retailers. Faster than checking el froog and no typing. Efficient use of bookmarklets.

Get away with having different prices than another site on the net? If that were the case all porn would be $4.95 / month.

Its called the Amazon Associates Program...

It needs to be on a mainstream site, you can get your traffic from anywhere, but yes, you can make some serious coin with Amazon.

Thanks for the link dude

I like Amazon. Well, when they arent sending my books in boxes that dont withstand the rigors of shipping, anyway. They let me click on my own Associates link for my purchases, which is cool and saves alot of money because I spent serious cash on books.

Really? Can you show where they allow this? I've never heard of an affiliate program condoning affiliates buying stuff through their own revshare account...

They've never complained. I'm sure they never will. Why would they care? Unlike the adult industry, they dont pay out refferal fees that are many times thier initial take. They make profit no matter what. Each time, every time. They dont have to hope I'll stick around and buy more so they break even on me.

And actually, what I do is go to milesmall.com and buy an Amazon.com gift certificate from thier merchant giftcertificates.com or whatever it is with my TripRewards credit card. So I get hotel points for the purchase on the CC, I get miles for buying from the milesmall merchant and then amazon gives me the 7% or whatever.
