Lexus SC 430?

Thinking about it..

anybody driven one? Have one? Thoughts?

Wiseman wants me to get a 6 series bmw but i just dont see how they can justify a full $20k more.

I'm not a race car kinda guy.. i prefer a comfortable ride, need 4 seats, would like a convertible.

Thoughts?

domeconnection 04-11-2006 08:13 AM

I barely know anything about cars, show me a pic :)

if you are going top shelf that is.....:pimp

Sergio_AVAcash 04-11-2006 08:31 AM

Better buy an RX330 Lexus!

justsexxx 04-11-2006 08:33 AM

Not 'really' a 4 seats car. Unless the other 2 persons are small kids...

WHat about an Audi A4 convertible?

Anthony 04-11-2006 08:34 AM

Good luck on the 4 seats. If you fit your laptop bag back there, I'd be surprised.

buddyjuf 04-11-2006 08:52 AM

why not get a 3 series BMW instead?

james_clickmemedia 04-11-2006 08:56 AM

The Lexus SC 430 has been around for a few years now so may be due for a face lift soon. I agree that it is a bit of a girls car. Have you considered the MB CLK350 or 500

http://www.mbusa.com/models/main.do?modelCode=CLK500A

Quick Buck 04-11-2006 09:09 AM

toolz actually suggested the Audi, i'm going to take a look at that today. I'd never even heard of the audi convertible til today.

2008 is a new SC series for lexus. they are comig out with SC 300 and SC 500.. i guess the sc 300 is more like an IS with a ragtop, and the SC 500 will look like this but longer: http://www.seriouswheels.com/top-200...-C-Concept.htm

Think i'm skipping the Lexus now... but in 2009 that 500 may be fucking awesome!

dave_w 04-11-2006 09:11 AM

its really small and doesnt drive well at all...go with the 6 series, its worth the extra 20k if ya got it.

Sexsitesurfer 04-11-2006 09:30 AM

Yeah, the six series is NICE! More masculine too....

Pure Evil 04-11-2006 09:42 AM

a friend of mine had one when they first came out. very nice and very comfortable car.

DaddyHalbucks 04-11-2006 09:49 AM

Lexus makes a great car. Last I knew, Bill Gates drove a Lexus.

qwe 04-11-2006 10:49 AM

6 series all the way, although I would get used 745 for the same $

dunefield 04-11-2006 10:57 AM

I'd prefer the Lexus convertible over the Audi...

juve20 04-11-2006 11:01 AM

i've seen alot better looking cars!

thats an M3, not a 3 series

Fresh 04-11-2006 11:20 AM

SC is a chicks car :2cents

Go for the 6 series. One drive and you'll see how they justify that extra 20.

an M3 is a 3 series. Just the top of the line motorsport version.

I'm pretty sure bdjuf knows the differance between the two. He owns a M3 if im not mistaken

deniska 04-11-2006 11:24 AM

I used to own a 2003 sc430. Its a nice car however it does rattle a lil bit. You will also need to replace the factory run flat tires with non run flats if you want a nicer ride. I had mine for a lil less then 2 years never had a single problem.

Morgan 04-11-2006 12:45 PM

ya, the M3 IS a 3 series. (top of the line)
just like the M5 is a 5 series (top of the line)
and the new M6 is obviously a 6 series (top of the line)

now, if they would only make an M7, mmmmmmmmm........... i can see it now, twin turbo V12 w/ 707HP.

axelcat 04-11-2006 01:10 PM

madawgz 04-11-2006 01:14 PM

NichePay_Manny 04-11-2006 02:19 PM

sonofsam 04-11-2006 02:20 PM

isn't that a bit heavy to throw off a balcony?

jk :)

Grapesoda 04-11-2006 02:25 PM

the lexus sc 430 doesn't really have 4 seats . .the back seats are 'insurance' seats and only to lower the car ins . . . no adults can sit back there . . get a toyota avalone or cadillac de ville if ya want a nice seadan

The 430 is about 10k less than the 6 series convetible and is very wimpy compared. It is a girls car. Get the BMW. The back seats are bigger too in the Beamer.
