fgh seo question

This is probably a silly question.

If you have a tgp / mgp / whatever is it bad for seo to be linking to fhgs? Im sure i read every outbound link takes a 3rd of the value off your inbound. Is this true?

lots of people have hosted gals on their tgps/mgps, i would rather make the gals myself and post them, i get much better conversions doing it that way

I don't think it's whether you link to FHG's or not that's a problem, but rather how many outgoing links you have on one page. What those links are makes (most of the times) less of a difference than their total amount.

Hmmm ... i'm setting up a list with combination galleries and free sites. Will be populating it with hosted galleries and hosted free sites to start. Do you have an idea of how many per page (etc) would be safe?

Don't think there's any number carved in stone there... I'd say it's safe to assume that the younger the site and the more the links you display on the page, the more likely it is for Google to see it as nothing more than a link farm. Then again there are linkdump sites out there that do fairly well, so beats me...

Ideally no more than 20 outbound links per page would keep you in good graces, but that's just not a possibility with TGP's, so just keep getting PR5 + hardlink trades in to try and prove your an authority on your keywords. :2 cents:

keep it under 40-50 offsite links per page for at least 2-3 months. then slowly increase the number if you wish. I suggest ripping the content/gallery and hosting it locally if you're against building your own so you can increase the overall depth of the site and limit outbounds.

Better check with the sponsors first, though. Not all can allow you to rip their content and host it on your own domains.

Thanks for the great info guys. It will come in very helpful I assure you. I think the trick is to try hosting some myself and using no more than a couple dozen hosted per page.

BASTARDS! most big sponsors will, but yeah, double check with your sponsors to be safe.
