Please dont make your signup forms confusing/non-user friendly. :(

Whats really irritating is when you fill in 50 boxes with various info then you go to submit , theres something missing , but it makes you hit the back button yourself and the information is all erased  gee that pisses me off , i sure hope your porn site join forms are better thought out..

Heres how it should work.. you should be auto sent back to the same page and notified of the whatever the problem was.. all the info you previously input should be save and prefille din again pretty simple , must cost all of $100 to accomplish.

Smokey I was wondering if you could take a quick look at this thread. I think you would have some insight on some of the things we can't figure out and could help. Sorry to get off topic but really interested in your thoughts. Thanks :)

good thread, actually this thread kind of ties into that with something i noticed on another site.

In the "form" it had a "birthdate" box to enter your birthdate but it was just a box , no suggestion like MM--DD-YYYY or MM/YYYY etc , so when you fill in the form invariably most people dont pick whatever format they wanted, and when the form errors it jumps back to the same page ( minus the ref code ) , mind you it could be accidental or a nice programmer , but seems supicious with the way the form didnt prompt you to eneter a specific format

Interesting; I have been looking into it a bit, and am wondering if 404 pages are the same as 401 pages. I seem to remember someone saying that 404 pages could not carry ref codes. Not sure if that is true or not? Maybe is the same for 401? Don't really know. However, on one of the pages I tested I saw 401 in the refcode that relpaced mine ...
