Incredible: Drinking Beer Actually Saves You $$$ *PIC*

One of the world's top stock market portfolio investment advisors has issued the following notice which actually demonstrates that drinking beer from cans can actually save you your hard earned dollars.

If you had purchased $1000.00
of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be
worth $49.00.

With Enron,
you would have had $16.50
left of the original $1,000.00.

With WorldCom,
you would have had less than
$5.00 left.

But, if you had purchased $1,000.00
worth of Beer one year ago, drank all the
beer, then turned in the cans for the
aluminum recycling REFUND,
you would have had $214.00.

Based on the above,
current investment advice is to
drink heavily and recycle.

It's called the 401-Keg Plan

FIGHT THE NEW WORLD ORDER and don't fall for the "fixed" stock market. At least when you drink Duff's beer, you know where it's going - and where it's exiting. And recycling is good for the world. Remember to drink responsibly, at home.

Based on a 12 pack of beer costing $10 that would equate to 1200 beers. With that said, WHERE IN GOD'S NAME ARE YOU GOING TO GET $214.00 in recycling refunds???

In some states they still offer the nickel for each can (which is extremely rare). If that were the case then you'd have a whopping $60 from your recycled cans.

Most places base the refund on the weight of the aluminum. A modern beer can (empty of course) weighs 14.9 grams. Using 34 cans as the measurement, however, means that 900 to 1000 cans would result in 26 to 30 pounds or about $2.60 to $3.00 worth at 10 cents per pound.

Funny story though.

Also since they charge you CRV when you purchase them, typically at a nickle a can. In California you actually loose money when it is all said and done. Since every place takes them back by weight and not .05 per can. Even if they gave you .05 per can though you still would only break even on the cans.

I think what was posted was a joke, there is probably no need to analyze all the details...

Sounds like a damn good plan. And the extra to that, is that when drinking, you tend to meet more women that are perfect 10's.

but seriously, if you want to make a few extra bucks, buy a case of grape juice, add some yeast, wait a few months, and then sell it to homeless bums for 200% profit.... where else can you get 200% risk free return on your investement in a few months? :thumbsup
