Players Ball input needed for Cybernet Expo
 

OK, so far, looks like we'll be doing a night time party, 9:00 pm til 1:00 am or so.

The first Cybernet, we threw a Players Ball at a venue called Canes and had some bands perform including Digital Underground and some reggae bands.

The next year (last year) we did it at the hotel near the pool with a legendary reggae artist, Half Pint with Dubcat (Hepcat and Long Beach Dub Allstars) behind him and that fucker Tone Loc with a wet t-shirt contest.

So, since it looks like we'll do this one off site at a venue or bar, what would you like to see?

Options:

Free bar and food, no artists (anyone can do that, not my first choice)
Reggae artists (big names) with some free drinks
Hip Hop artists (big name old schooler with cool new school DJ)

or, I'm seriously thinking about doing a DJ oriented event with some legendary DJ's that would blow you away. Z-Trip, Q-Bert, Mix Master Mike and others like that. Some good scratch DJ's that would be fun to watch and people can also dance to.

I'm open to all ideas since these smaller events are fun to change things up from the January party.

Everything depends on the sponsors money, it pays the costs and ultimately determines the artists and free drink limits.


Also, we're doing a Players Party for the XBiz show, bringing Flavor Flav with us. Details will be announced soon, need some sponsors for that as well.

Yo all i remember last year was climbing to the roof of the place above the bar to hang the mobbucks banner

It would be hard to keep it just porn peeps since it will be a saturday night.

And even if it wasn't a saturday, it's hard to fill up a venue with the Cybernet crowd only since most venues hold around 1000 people. I hope Cybernet is that big, but I'm guessing it will be around 350 to 500 peeps total which means taking people off site, you lose at least 20% to 50% of those people.

Plus, if it's open to the public, our players can pick up SD hotties. Maybe we'll make it open to only chicks and private to our industry. That sounds like a winning idea.

Theres plenty of nice clubs here in SD that you could get atleast a VIP area to. I agree offsite would be nice with all the seckzy women we have here.

One of these days I would love to see some of the fabulous adult biz dj talent showcased...doesn't matter who, it would just cool to see you maybe have 1 adult biz dj open for each players ball

I saw Z-Trip a few weeks back, saw MixMaster Mike last year and Saw QBert the year before. I can guarentee they will all be great for parties. Simply amazing.
