How can you watch GOLF on TV?!

you obviously haven't been around for a night launch here in Cocoa/Titusville FL. The power the shuttle puts out shakes houses for miles and lights the whole sky up. very cool to watch.

Are you kidding me? Whenever I want to take a nap I just throw on some golf and it's lights out.

People watch golf for the same reasons they watch any other sport: to see the potential for skill in the games they play displayed to masterful levels.

golf is a slow sport. But once you go out yourself and try to hit a golf ball straight with consistancy, it's easier to appreciate these guys talents of hitting the ball 200-300 yards with great distance and accuracy control. It's fun once you understand the whole game and appreciate it for what it is. I think golf is a fun hobby, and the more you play it the more inclined you are to watch it on tv.

I like watching it ... I have The Masters on in the background. What I really can't stand is the announcers. I guess I'd rather have it on mute with some music. But you have to admit, some of the drives and shots are too incredible to miss!
