get the apple macbook pro... you can run either osx or WinXP on them now, and pretty much the slickest/sleekest of the dual core laptops out there at the moment... top of the line is 2.16GHz Yonah w/ 2GB of ram..

I am waiting for the 17" MacBook Pro; soon I hope.

I dont....I dont even have a laptop...

I have a Dual Desktop and it kicks ass......the D processors though takes LOTS of energy, so I'm guessing a laptop would burn through a battery quick....... I'm really looking forward to D processors with hyperthreading...so THAT will be fucking fast

the pentium "D" is based on Prescott technology and is inherently powerhungry and burning hot... the Yonah processors (formerly Pentium M) are a totally different animal and don't devour energy anything like their antiquated D cousins.

the future Intel processors on the roadmap are all derived from the Yonah/M chips, Prescott can die the quiet death it deserves soon... it was always a lousy upgrade to Northwood anyways..
