Anyone here ever been to PRISON?
 

or even jail for, say, a month or longer? not that i really think that anyone here would really have the balls to be honest and admit it if they actually have been, but im still curious.

what is this prison you speak of

State or Federal?

I did 2 months for something stupid when I was a kid..that is a great wake up call that you don't want to be there

for the purpose of this thread, either one is acceptable

Never actually been to prison.

Nope.

A couple of days (or a weekend) once, and THAT was all it took. You definately have to be a certain kind of person to be in such a situation and NOT go insane in the membrane.

Did 3 years in State Prison for various charges back in the early 90's. Haven't been back to jail or prison since.

ouch! 3 years! I'm really sorry to hear. That must've been terrible!

I spent 3 days in county jail
and 10 days in a mental health lockdown facility in the fall of '05

Sucked when I was doing it but now when I think back, it was nothing. All that shit they talk about ass rape and etc is all bullshit hype to keep people out of prison. In the three years I did there wasn't one single ass raping. I knew of punks that got pimped out but they were gay in the first place so it's not like anyone took it from them.

I woke up, worked, worked out, played sports, read a lot, and repeated on a daily basis. I would recommend some people go to prision just to get some structure in their lives.

The only thing I can say is that you will fight on a regular basis. Also, clique up with a group as fast as you can. That will help out tremendiously.

I spent just over a month in a TDC detention center last fall because of a "clerical error". because of their fuck-up, i ended up losing my condo, my car, and my business (no one knew where i was so all bills went unpaid). funny how someone elses stupidity can destroy your life. :disgust

If you want to get down with the most fucked up and feared group in prison tell them that you're with the "El Pollo Locos" and they will not fuck with you AT ALL!

If you are about to serve a sentence then good luck. Remember, El Pollo Locos are not to be fucked with so scream that shit like it's your fucking name!

I've done about a year total:

8 Months bootcamp
1.5 month county
about a month in county

also various one night here another there over the years

i've managed to stay out of trouble for about 7 years now though

I did a little under three months in county for something stupid I did right after I turned 18.

The food sucked and the guards were pricks. Living in a cage with 20 people isnt fun. It wasnt a vacation - wasnt expecting one. No one's ass got taken and people mostly kept to themselves. As the saying went, if you dont start nothin, there wont be nothin.

Keep your nose on your own face and whatever you do, dont be a snitch. And dont say you are in a gang if you arent. They will check up on you/your story and if you have lied, you'll get fucked up much worse than if you had just kept your mouth shut.

Jeeez I'm starting to feel like the only one on gfy who hasn't gone to jail LOL!
