I think there is a distinct possibility there was a civilization on earth that got obliterated by a meteor strike or even where some were able to escape to another planet and the aliens that have come back are actually our ancient ancestors.

I disagree with what they force the children to do behind closed doors more than just Sunday School brainwashing them - but then anyone that needs a GOD to believe in has bigger problems than a little touchy/feely activities with clergy will ever cause - you'd think we were still living 6000 years ago when you didnt know any better - and those multitudes of gods/goddesses figures gave the idiots a reason to live.
