What bank do you use? WaMu sux big time.

I am tired of wamu. The tellers @ the branches near me suck big time, they just took all my visa check cards and made them Mastercards, the wamu home loans website does not have ANY ABILITY to export data to quicken, money or whatever... its Crazy.

I would really like to hear who people use for banks and if they are happy.... thanks!

Been using Wachovia even when they used to be First Union. Never had a single problem with them and their customer service is un-fucking-believable. I have both personal and business accounts with them.

Oh, and Washington Mutual are a bunch of tards for trying to brand something as stupid as WaMu! Seemed like a stupid move to me.

Fuck Washington Mutual! When I was opening my account the guy misspelled my name. I caught the mistake seconds after he made it and corrected him. Over six months now and I'm still getting mail with my name misspelled. They had to send me three seperate check cards before they got my name right. I was supposed to get a $75 gift card for opening the account. I never did. They suck big time!

I use a small local bank. They are the best, IMO.

Is it actually a credit union? my GF is @ a credit union and she gets pretty good service from she tells me but she also has the problem of not being able to take money out of the ATM bc pretty much the ONLY atm by that CU is attached to their office lol

I might have to split biz and personal between 2 banks because the ATM aspect is important to me and of course i Never pay for anything in cash for the bidniz :)

Taxes and shit got me started on this bank crusade hehe.

No, but I do have an account with a credit union also (at least I think I still have the account - I need to check - I know I didn't have much money in there and it could have been eaten up by fees........).

This is just a small local bank. We have several of them here since it's just a small town :) Eventually they will probably be eaten up by one of the bigger banks, but I get a kick out of the guy driving into the drive thru and saying "Darlene - I need $50 out of my account. Thanks". No paperwork, no signature, nothing - Darlene gives the man his money and deducts it from his account :thumbsup

The other thing with WAMU which is making me look for a new bank for the dough I was keeping with them is the thing where you can only do a couple of deposits at a time at the ATM. And then the tellers get all pissy when the lines get long, full of people who have multiple deposits to do. I think they are doing it so they can get around FDIC regulatations and use more float on unavailable funds.

You see those commercials where they have the stodgy old bankers in a pen in the basement and they tell you they are doing everything the opposite of those guys? I want to know what bank those guys still work at. I want my bankers stodgy and old.

Looks like canadian banks are a lot better. I used scotia, cibc, desjardins and TD and I don't have anything wrong to say about them... desjardins is the most flexible when it comes to personal solutions (us checks etc) so I use them

If service is your concern, you'll get the best service from smaller banks, if convenience is your concern the bigger banks make it easier for you to not have to ever see a teller, actually they hope you never come inside the bank.
