Would you buy A Rolex on E-bay ?

I want one like this :

http://cgi.ebay.ca/2000-ROLEX-16613-...QQcmdZViewItem

Already got a "Champagne" Yachtmaster, but I always loved the Blue Suber :pimp

gangbangjoe 04-08-2006 01:27 PM

i made some bad expirience with ebay while purchasing an expensive item....

better pay some more and buy it at a registered seller in your city

Jace 04-08-2006 01:27 PM

sure, why not? ebay has a huge department that spend all day every day looking for fakes on their site, and if they don't spot it someone else selling the real thing will turn them in

That must be why they have so many Hi-end stuff at 100$ on their site ...

item location : Hong Kong :winkwink:

Choppa 04-09-2006 02:19 AM

Yeah Hong Kong...gotta love that

might be the same Rolex's we got offered in Nogales Mexico :1orglaugh

LiveDose 04-09-2006 02:22 AM

I wouldn't but that's just me.

juve20 04-09-2006 02:22 AM

if i could meet up with the guy and have a good look at it then yes i would!

Manowar 04-09-2006 02:33 AM

that looks hot

Due 04-09-2006 03:09 AM

Why not?
Escrow the payment, get it authenticated, release payment.
If not send back the watch

chris454660 04-09-2006 03:38 AM

I buy quite a bit from ebay...just bits and bobs, and I gotta say I wouldnt even consider buying anything more expensive that a DVD lol

BlueDesignStudios 04-09-2006 04:00 AM

why would you buy via ebay? I get better deals sent to me via direct email every day, especially on the rolex!

Best part of it all - I'm paying for them with the $30 million I made from my friends in Nigeria

Mr.Right - Banned For Life 04-09-2006 04:14 AM

I would not get one of ebay.

everestcash 04-09-2006 04:15 AM

nah, i wouldn't

Mist 04-09-2006 04:23 AM

I never had any problems with ebay.

woj 04-09-2006 05:32 AM

I would rather pay few extra bucks and buy it from a reliable seller. I don't think there many things worse than buying a $10k watch and then few years later finding out it's a good quality $200 replica....

SGS 04-09-2006 05:38 AM

I wouldnt even buy a Timex on eBay.

GiveIntoMe 04-09-2006 06:37 AM

Personally I would buy a nice Rolex from one of the London dealers in oxford street.

Tapaz 04-09-2006 06:55 AM

dont do it.

hova 04-09-2006 08:46 AM

never do it

CherryLipsRosa 04-09-2006 08:52 AM

i wouldn't buy anything expensive if i can't touch it and see it in person. That's my opinion.

slapass 04-09-2006 08:58 AM

I was thinking of buying one used but feeling it and looking at might not help me know it is real.

gecko 04-10-2006 02:39 AM

No, I wouldn't sleep well easy

Sam Granger 04-10-2006 02:43 AM

I would only consider buying one from a real watch shop that specializes in Rolex.

VicD 04-10-2006 02:50 AM

No, you better buy it by a official dealer

soulbleed 04-10-2006 02:54 AM

no way .. dont do it. everytime u look at it u will know theres a chance its a fake.

Vitasoy 04-10-2006 03:00 AM

Probably not, i'd be weary cause of replicas

mardigras 04-10-2006 03:02 AM

I mostly buy DVDs and satellite equipment off of eBay. I always pay attention to the feedback and buy from someone who's been around awhile. I probably wouldn't buy something like a watch there (not because I don't trust them but because that is an item I would want to see and try on first) but if I ever did I would follow the same scrutiny of the seller before making a transaction.

I've never been burned on eBay, but then again I primarily use it to get items I can't find locally, not looking for "too good to be true" deals. When I see a merchant playing games like an impossible price compared to the competitors then an outrageous shipping cost that balances it out I don't even bother dealing with them.

Jim3k 04-10-2006 03:04 AM

this is a bad idea

thaifan99 04-10-2006 04:55 AM

yes i would - but under my terms - payment after delivery lol

Zuzana Designs 04-10-2006 05:59 AM

i would not.. but I don't want one either ..

bjjb 04-10-2006 06:01 AM

Shit I had enuff trouble coming up off of $30 for a laptop case last nite. I dont trust anyone lol Much less 5300 bucks for a Rolex

Kevin2 04-10-2006 06:06 AM

I often buy items over a $1,000 on ebay and have never had a problem. I always pay with PayPal and if the item is not what the auction states then I would file a not as described claim and get my money back.

Quagmire 04-10-2006 07:04 AM

Ignorance is bliss. After you buy it just make sure you don't brag about your Rolex to people and find out its a fake.

ajrocks 04-10-2006 07:05 AM

I'll give you a better deal
