Is it safe to use Ibill as you back up billing processor.

I kept reading negative reviews about Ibill but would like to know how is it nowadays? Is it safe or will I be screwed over if I use them on my site?
Thanks,
Kleo

Snake Doctor 04-07-2006 07:28 PM

Just the fact that you are asking the question mean you should get out of the industry asap.

No, I see a lot of negative things about Ibill, but I also see people saying that they are capable of staying a float. I?m going to use Paycom and CCBill but after that there?s nothing else. What other billing providers would you recommend?

Verotel looks pretty good these days.

woj 04-07-2006 08:13 PM

I would just send them to a blank page, it's not like ibill would pay you anyway...

The fact that there's anyone out there who's not getting paid on time should be reason enough not to use them.
What makes you think that you're so special that you'd be one of the people getting their money on time??

I think cascading 2 processors for credit cards is enough. I really doubt you'd get enough additional throughput with a 3rd to make any real difference.

Please do NOT do this to yourself hun, They will promise, and promise and then promise....but you wont see a penny
do a search on ibill, when people say they are staying afloat...well...yeh...they are operating on other peoples money.
Stay clear of them

SilentKnight 04-08-2006 06:30 AM

The only thing iBull has done suck-sessfully since Sept/'04 is they've somehow managed to keep the sheriff's padlock off their door. No one knows how...its a big mystery.

As sure as the sun rises in the east and sets in the west - you WON'T be paid by iBull. They don't even process their own transactions any longer. Its all outsourced elsewhere to other dubious and questionable companies.

Run...don't walk - from iBull. Where they were once a good service, now they're purely a rip-off and a scam.

Yes IBILL might be able to stay afloat...as long as people come along and don't listen to the other webmasters that have lost money. A sucker is born every minute.

If you're going to run a small amateur site just stick to a couple of good processors and dont' worry about anything other than producing new content and updating.

I have a small site and have used multiple processors in the past. It never worked out well. IBILL took tens of thousands of dollars from me. OTher webmasters lost WAY MORE money than me. CCBILL has been the only one that has paid me every week.

$hurik 04-22-2006 12:27 PM

stick to ccbill, epoch, wts

$hurik 04-22-2006 12:28 PM

the word ibill should be banned on this board, too many ppl got hurt by them

F-U-Jimmy 04-22-2006 12:30 PM

I agree !

I have used both Verotel and SegPay in the past... Verotel have always been very good to me... Just a shame they dumped all sites using the word 'teen'.

verotel has become increasingly tight w/ what kind of sites they will process for since their last near fallout w/ Intertrans (their acquiring bank)... in some ways lately they have become more selective than ccBill in regards to acceptable content...

sad to say but they industry is still in fairly dire need of a new business model for accepting payments that stands free from the creditcard monopolies..

short answer: no
long answer: nope
