Say you made a few million out of this business, enough to live nice the rest of your life, could you give it up?

Even if whatever you done to earn that was still making you tons of cash each month? Would YOU walk away?

Me personally I wouldn't, no matter how much I had. If there's still money coming in aint no point leaving.

If I could get someone else to maintain it for me, in a heartbeat.

If i could hire other people to do the work for me, sure.

the thing is: to do what? You cant sit in the sun all day for the rest of your life .. will get boring.

There are a lot of other things in life I would not mind doing.

don't think anyone in they're right mind would leave a business that brings in money! its not like its physically demanding, back-breaking work!

Dunno. Probably not. I would be less serious about things. I'd just make fun of people of GFY all day long really. Not really work.

If possible at all of course I'd rather keep the money coming in by getting someone to look after it all. But that could coz trouble in the long run. They'd want more money and so on...

No, it's boring to do nuthin but spending money.
Really, not many things beat the feeling of being succesfull and seeing that your ideas are banking mad money.

Long as I got high speed, I'm in.

one way to get around the problem you mention is to offer base + bonus incentive or revenue sharing..

my business model is a lot like the children's fable "the goose that laid the golden egg"... i will never sell my goose...

my wife doesn't believe i'll be able to step back tho.. i'm a workaholic, as i suspect many of us here are..

money is mostly useful cos it allows you the freedom to do what you REALLY want to do.

Don't you have any lifelong goals, dreams, ambitions besides building a successful business - to learn how to fly a plane? go travelling the world? set up a foundation for abandoned pygmies :winkwink: etc etc?

If I made millions and was comfortable knowing that I didn't have to worry about going broke if I wasn't working then I'd definitely take some time off and enjoy some of what the world has to offer. There are SO many good things to take part in that you just can't do if you're stuck working all the time.

Of course, you can compromise too - hire someone to take care of your biz and just work part-time - a few months a year or whathaveyou, then you're getting the best of both worlds.

After all, you can't take it with you when you finally leave the land of the living :2 cents:

no, I wouldn't... not completely.
I would hire someone to work for me, and I would oversee their work. But I would enjoy my life instead of sitting in form of the computer all day long, like I do now

Nothing would change for me.
I would still sit in the sun most of the time.
