Videocam question -stripes [pls help!]

ok our photographer has a HD one but another photographer still uses a 3ccd Panasonic GS400. Things is when he uses progressive scan the stills look shit. Stripes all over, he removes them with virtual dub and this is only on 720.

This is how it looks and its crap, I said we dont want that get new vids. He knows shit how to remove it and I dont know the gs400 cam.

Anyone?

Thanks!!!

Do some searching on Google regarding de-interlacing video for screencaps, and I think you'll find your answer.

Photoshop- deinterlace.

Should be fine... but in the end, better off shooting pure stills.

Here's a little more info about it..

Composite video consists of two fields- field one and field two. What your seeing in the still is actually a slight combo of the fields in that frame.

When you de-interlace, you have the option to select field 1 or field 2. Select either and you should be in good shape.

Let me know if that does it.
