What does it mean...

when your screen starts visibly pulsing at you?

I couldn't say that it hasn't always done this, but if it did, I never noticed it before.... is this thing about to go tits up on me?

It means you have had to much to drink or your monitor is about to take a crap...:winkwink:

FATPad 05-06-2002 11:45 AM

I had that happen to me a couple of times. Degauz, then reboot, and it fixed it for me.

AaronM 05-06-2002 11:45 AM

Did you buy that monitor from the same guy that Shemp went through? :)

Amputate Your Head 05-06-2002 11:47 AM

I was gonna suggest "format monitor with hammer", but looks like you got it.......

hmm, I wonder if I should create a Brick Of Love for non-human things....maybe a stone of reasoning.......

Amputate Your Head 05-06-2002 11:50 AM

I figured it out.....

I have multiple monitors here.... and like a dumbass, they are so close to each other they're almost touching.... got about enough space to slip a piece of paper between them and that's it.... so as soon as I shut the other monitors off, the main one here stopped pulsing at me...

guess I just need to space them out a little more. :thumbsup

never mind.... :)

I had a problem of my monitor turning yellow after a few minutes before, I couldn't figure it out.. I thought the monitor was busted, so I was about to call ViewSonic and have it repaired, but I figured it out.. I had some speakers a couple of feet away from it, the magnetics or whatever in the two were mixing with eachother and the speakers were messing up the blue on the monitor.. weird shit. :)

Yep ... that will cause some heavy duty scan lines with some monitors more than 2 years old especially ...

I am running an ATI RADEON 64 MB dual out card also ... I had to separate my two monitors almost to opposite sides of the desk to fully get rid of the scan lines ... my one monitor is brand new viewsonic PRO SERIES 19" ... but the other is a shitty 15" Syncmaster that is about 6 years old, and not shielded worth SHIT !!!

I am planning to get a matching pair of the Viewsonic 19" pro series very soon ... It kicks ass as far as NON LCD displays go ..
