jimmi is from rainy seatle
so give europe Iron Maiden

andrej_NDC 04-06-2006 12:16 PM

I dont like any of those, but these:
Gamma Ray
Helloween
Blind Guardian
Stratovarius
Rhapsody
etc...

but this stuff is a bit harder :)

gfx3 04-06-2006 12:19 PM

America rocks harder, no doubt about it.

Pure Evil 04-06-2006 12:20 PM

well you have different eras and styles of rock listed but i would agree about moving Jimi to the US side and adding Iron Maiden to the Europe list.

btw. with the exception of Iron Maiden i would say America rocks harder but Europe may win on the Classics list

Cool, my list was purposely short. I don't even know many European bands. You guys seem like you weren't impacted all that much by 'grunge' or even Nu Metal (ex. tool, korn, etc).

James-AR 04-06-2006 12:23 PM

Ah but lets just give "props" where they due...Sabbath and Zepp. really started it all...so back in the day. Europe Rocked alone. the US followed suit.

spideriux 04-06-2006 12:23 PM

Europe of course

WebairGerard 04-06-2006 12:29 PM

who cares where they are from? Tons of good bands listed and many more out there yet to be discovered.

I dont follow the scene that much, the bands posted are not so popular among all people. Most dont even know them, radio stations and music TVs play mostly pop. If you didnt hear about them yet, check some samples online. :)

Kard63 04-06-2006 12:32 PM

Alice In Chains rocks harder than all of Europe by themselves.

Antonio 04-06-2006 12:44 PM

actually UK and USA

The sad part is that there are millions of good bands all over the world but we'll never hear them simply coz they will never have the money to market their music....

2HousePlague 04-06-2006 12:46 PM

We probably have more alcohol-related deaths, but they probably fuck more.

I'm more particular with the bands, not on countries.
