Fucking ear aches
I've had ear aches before, but I don't remember them being exactly like this. I feel like I've got a bunch of fluid in my ear, like I was swimming or something. Also, all sounds are echoed and sounds like a robot through my left ear.
Anyone have any home remedies or something for this shit? :helpme |
Drink lots of alcohol :upsidedow
|
clean your ears out, probably shit loads of wax in there.

I have chrnoic ear infections and i can tell you almost nothing works.. But the one home remedy that DOES work is get someone to blow some ciggy smoke in your ear.. it will help dry out the ear a bit and i think the nicotine acts as an anesthesia |
Just go to the doctors and ask for some amoxcillin thatll sort it out within a day or two :)

If you have a hair dryer, blow it in your ear and across the ear, seriously. It can help and it's helped me before.
Also, anyone remember cheech n chongs wedding album? "Ear ache my eye, how would you like a butt ache?" haha, memories.. |
have it checked by a specialist. it might be something serious
|
Sounds like the same thing I had ..have to get the wax out..it's like a mini pressure washer.also they told me if it happens again put a few drops of olive oil in your ear and flush it out the next day in the shower

If you still have an earache now,
go to the emergency room or to a doctor in the morning. People sometimes died from earaches before antibiotics were developed. You can get a ruptured eardrum and if the infection spreads to your brain, even meningitis. Or it could just fade away, possibly leaving you with a slight hearing loss. Hope some of the other posters' suggestions relieve the pain for you, but do get treatment for the infection if it is still hanging in there.:thumbsup
|
Only three ways to stop it...
-go get an antibiotic -wait for the eardrum to perforate and relieve the pressure -tough it out Heat does help sometimes, though. It's an infection, so you really need an antibiotic. |
nothing beats expert advice. seek for it before the worse will become worst.
|
i used to have 1 ear ache every 2 weeks when i was 3 years old
:( |
Go see a doctor :)
And btw, antibotics is stupid if its not bacterias, you'll get resistant and fucked if (when) u really need it later.... not the way to die... So if he say so, be sure its checked in laboratory first. |
I would advise you to see a doctor.
|
Lie down on your side and wait til those smelly fluid come out..

thanks for everyones suggestions.
Went the whole fucking day with my ear plugged up and barely being able to hear shit. Also leaking every couple of hours some liquid shit, only to be fucked over again within the next 2 minutes. Guess I'll just wait it out. I read online that they don't really try to give antibiotics for ear aches because of the body getting immune, but I won't goto the hospital til the weekend anyways. Sleepin' is gonna be the shitty part. woke up this morning with my whole head throbbing, no matter which way I layded. :{ ear aches suck |

Do you really want to fuck yourself for life just because you're too lazy or to save a few bucks?????????? Could be nothing serious, I've had this before and all I had to do was to get my ear cleaned (they give you drops, and the next they just clean it with a syringe with warm water) but I wouldn't take any chances! |
I get that from time to time, I just head to the doc to clear it out for me. What he does is, he flushes it out with water.

There may be Fluid in there, go see a doctor. |
Dude, seriously. Get your ass to the Dr. Last time I had an earache like that, I put off seeing a Dr thinking no biggie. I'm not a Dr-visiting type of person. I was at the stage you are now when I finally called but they couldn't fit me in. That night, the pain got so effin bad I was bawling. It was crazy. My ear drum ruptured a few hrs later. Now I'm partially deaf in that ear and even 2 years later, I still have a ringing in that ear that doesn't go away.

go see the doctor, i had ear aches when i was younger, it sucks
|
Hmm, day two..
Ear still plugged, it pops then the shit oozes out, and it gets plugged again. I have got to go to work today but if it doesn't get better by the time I get home tonight, I think I'll goto the ER after I eat. Hopefully they'll gimme something cheap. Don't got much money because of some unexpected expenses :{ but I think antibiotics are cheap ? |

In a former life I worked with ears/hearing and you really don't want to let an inner ear infection get too nasty or spread. Google "mastoiditis" and see what can happen. We always had to admit several people a year who didn't get treatment and let things go for too long. |

i used to get them
|
I think you're at the point where you need to just get it over with. Go sit in the ER today.
|
I went to the ER saturday. They gave me some ear drops & antibiotics. Now it's wednesday night, and it's still plugged up. It seems like the drops and antibiotics arent doing shit. I've had it for a total of a week, with 5 days on antibiotics.
Anyone had any shit like this? it hurts a little, but still feels like I have fluid in my ear. It's plugged all the time, and my hearing sucks out of that ear. I am going back to the ER again tomorrow if it doesn't get any better, but for now anyone have anything that might help? |
The antibiotics will treat the infection (if you had one). They should have looked in your ears and the infection is pretty obvious with all the redness.
The fluid in your ears will take some time. Everything sounding "underwater" for the next 10-14 days is normal, then when it clears (ear popping feeling) it's heaven. If you smoke, stop or limit yourself as much as possible to heal faster. Limit salts and dont drink an abundance of fluids either. Ok, Im not a Dr... Just from my experiences. |

Unless you just like going to the ER, there's no need for it. A simple walk in clinic will give you the same treatment for 60.00.
You just have to ride it out... The pain should be gone from the antibiotics. IF you're still having a lot of pain, then yeah I would go see a Dr again. Otherwise I would wait it out while on the antibiotics still. 1-2 days typcially and you should have felt relief from the pain. If not then maybe they will try some different antibiotics. |

starting to feel a little better

Hang in there Deraj. Its a weird experience if it's your first ear infection, but its not that bad (just kinda freaky at first and the pain for a bit). Most of the time they come after a cold. The fluid slows in the ears after a cold virus and then it gets infected. Kinda like the flu it clears up, but still sucks. Its not abnormal to have that ear fullness, "underwater" hearing or even a bit spacey feeling for a couple weeks. But like I said when your ears do finally drain, it's HEAVEN!
Treat it like the flu unless youre having bad pain still. Kick back, watch some movies, play some video games or whatever you do to chill when you feel sick. I've found for myself that some Ibuprofen is nice too with them. What you dont take are mixed decongestants. They tend to clog things up worse (cold+sinus+make the world great stuff). Only sudafed (sp?) if necessary. Hope some of that helps. |

No problem.. Ive been to the walk in clinic by my house many times for ear infections.... Been clear for 5 years now. Sounds like Im at an AA meeting.. haha Sucks when they keep coming back, but for most they dont at least.
|
just cut it off and the ache will go away

i had one aswell , but it went away in 1 week
|
Stillllllllllllll fucking plugged up!
And sometimes I get a sharp shooting pain on that side of my head. What the fuck is going on... |
You may have to go to an ENT guy..but something you can do..
Take a dixie cup and put a cotton ball in it. Soak it with hot water and put it to the affected ear. Sometimes, steam can break things up.... If that's too much for you , try boiling water ..put a towel over your head and steam that way..if you can get hold of eucalyptus, put that in the boiling water or into your shower. |
better yet consult a specialist for you to be so sure about your ear problem.
