Seems to me dutch democracy has taken a big kick in the face today. If...and only if this turns out to be done by a muslim...fuck...I don't even dare to think about it! Things are gonna change for sure.

Wow, I guess Holland will never quite be the same again. I never liked Pim Fortuyn or what he stood for, he was like the MetaformX of Dutch politics, but I hope they get the fucker who shot him.

I think many guys not-from-holland have the wrong impression of Pim Fortuyn. The internation press made Pim look like someone like Haider, or LePen, but he wasn't. He wasn't a racist, he wanted to decreate the number of crimes here etc..

I didn't agree with his ideas, I wans't gonna give him my vote,
but I do think people should know what kind of person he was,
not a racist...

i dont understand why people think he's 'unfriendly for

I really think Holland needs someone like Pim Fortuyn.
Not as much giving him credits for being a good politician
but for him to let other parties know that
they need to do their job a little better
and need to pay attention to the people which they serve.

and I think he's the kinda person a lot of people are gonna vote
on. Also because Fortuyn ahs been shot...

A person that just kills someone is just real sick in his head.
If you kill someone because he raped your daughter or so it's wrong but I can imagine it but when you kill someone because he has other thoughts then you there is something wrong inyour brain.
And you know what.... this person will be free within 15 years.
You get max. 20 years minus 1/3 and even less if you behave well.
Time they do something about that.

Having recently visited Holland and considering possibly relocating there, I have to say this does not bode well. I would not have supported his views but no man deserves to die for speaking his mind. I hope they catch the guy too.

Hey Boldy, I didnt know you were Dutch as well! I live here in the hague near the centre and we have some very amusing riots going on here right know...LOL!!!
Couple of hundred ppl are PISSED! Windows getting smashed, police charges and some rocktrowers...

I've lived in the hague for years... I saw these riots on the news, 90% of the people in it are NOT Pim supporters, just fucing skinheads who want to have some fun.

Not good, Pim was not a racist, he was just hitting the people with facts! I know, i've worked for the department of justice in The Netherlands and i had to do some nice queries on the database (management information) 80% of the crimes in the Netherlands are done by people with a Nothern African looks, if you know what i mean... I'm not a racist, my girlfriend is muslim.

And thats the truth... In fact, the truth will get you killed... :(

known and now it´s a big issue....john doe´s are getting shot

you're obviously don't know the current politcal siuation in Holland. You don't understand, it doens't even matter wether he was a Media Artist or a Politician (which he was in my eyes),
it's about the fact there was 10.000's of people voting for him,
he was about to be the biggest party here, and he got killed..
When someone got killed because of where they stand for, it
means there's something wrong in Holland.. Every politician
nowadays has to watch out before they say something, or they
might get killed, that's not right..

Well I left Holland just 8 months ago and still follow the news
and papers and most of my friends and family still live in Holland.
So yes I am still aware of the situation....Today the papers write
Pim was shot by a 33 year old Dutch White Male environmental
activist.....so no muslim, no non racist activist no cult group in
society....but a lunatic...

So this is what I meant....people jump to conclusions way too fast.
Again yes it's sad, Yes he was popular and would have gotten a
lot of votes....

I agree that it's a new that a politician gets shot and dies in Holland but in this case it could have been the president of Shell
aswell....

it's a sad situation, no need to clarify that......

My fear at this moment is that people will be voting for fortuyn not because they support his vision but to 'honor' him. And THAT is bothering me! Especially because his idea's are at most points disturbing and might even pose a thread to the modern dutch society. Also i do not think a group of relatively unorganised and inexperienced people would be capable of running a country. So my request to dutch webmasters and people....

vote for a vision, not to honor somebody!
