Card holders from some countries can no longer make p2p transfers or receive p2p transfers, this i because of a high amount of fraud from those countries.
The card holders from these countries will still be able to receive payments from sponsors, use the virtual visa and Electron card. |
Yeah quite fucked up really !!!!
Rydz. |
ePassporte wants to treat us all as a Country now.
This should be real fun, What's next ? Rydz. |
Had the same problem...
If you do not like it just move to some other processor... Egomancer |

As you said "The card holders from these countries will still be able to receive payments from sponsors, use the virtual visa and Electron card." So Frauders can still make Fraudulant internet purchases with thier Virtual Visa's online but can send a P2P. Way to go ePassporte. !!! Keyser, this is nothing personal mate, your a real good guy. Rydz. |
Dear Epass, if you cant protect your system from fraud, why do you complicate the life of honest webmasters?

I agree with Jayson |
How does disabling p2p transactions prevent fraud? So user gets paid by a sponsor, has money in his account, he can withdraw CASH from the atm, but he can't send it to another user? doesn't make any sense...
|
ePass really needs to re think thier shit through.
Rydz. |
And what really stops anyone from signing up with a Friends address in another "non blacklisted" country ??
ePass can we get some Clarification on how this new idea of your's works ? Rydz. |
this is crap!
If you find someone abusing the sistem - block HIS account! Do not block all other honest working people! |
We have found that most fraud comes from a person (Affiliate or not) loading a card, then sending multiple P2P transfers, then charging back the load transaction. This type of fraud is well known in the card industry. The recipient of the P2P then either sends it to another party, via P2P or takes funds from an ATM. We did not discover this type of fraud; however we find a great deal of it in our system. It has been all but eradicated by the measures we have put in place.
We lose fees when we make the restrict use, so we do not take pleasure in doing so. However, we have a long term view of our business and have made the choice to restrict some use, depending on location, load method or other factors, to keep our product and business viable for those that do not defraud our system. As a rule we don?t list any of our reasons or protection measures. Hopefully this has given you some information, while I am sure it won?t make you feel better about restricted use. We are sorry if you have been inconvenienced. Please feel free to email me if you have ideas on how we can protect ourselves better and still allow you the functionality you desire. I am not agreeing to accept any suggestions, just to consider them. We know that we don?t know everything and are willing to listen to reasonable ideas. I may be reached at [email protected] C |
One Email sent.

What puzzles me here is why you don't simply disallow the people who fall under the fraud criteria to load their account with a cc? Simply put, solely let them receive funds, that be via p2p or b2p. And do with them whatever they like. Not letting them distribute "clean" funds is a bit radical in my opinion. Not allowing them to load their accounts by any mean that is reversable seems like the way to go. I'm sure you see chargebacks from all over the world, not only from a particular location. So in theory, any cc->epass transaction is risky. |

Lets hope we get an answer, im still waiting on an email back too.. Rydz. |
Still no answer from ePassporte Chris Mallick, no emails either.
Rydz. |
Yet when i mentioned this yesterday nobody seemed to care about it :1orglaugh
Now you see why i had such a problem with what Epassporte was doing.. They are penalizing those of us who have legitimate reasons to be sending funds to people in those blocked countries. If you have a problem with people from blocked countries commiting fraud by loading with stolen CC's and / or charging back from their own CC's.... DONT allow those countries to fund their accounts using a credit card. Instead.. You want the rest of us to open a business account - costing US more money to send funds through Epass. Regards, Lee |

i wonder how this will affect cross-sales with paycom, from what i understand surfers who sign up to paycom sites are given epassporte accounts as " gift accounts" , will those countries still be given accounts ? will they be able to use them ?

There is amny other things which it is gonna effect, i mean fuck how many designers, submitters and lackie's accept ePass ??, a ass load of them, Wel not now. I understand what ePass is trying to do, they just are going at it in the wrong way. Rydz. |
