heh remember i was warning you about this awhile ago..

SmokeyTheBear 04-05-2006 08:41 PM

let me guess, you cant login to anything and your browser opens up duplicate copies of i.e. and stalls when you open it

Yes..what causes that?..seemed to happen after a recent update a month or 2 back..

LOL on a side note I had an old computer like 9 years ago that had like a 386 motherboard or less in it or something. I had to get a new computer because it was so slow. One night after some drinks I thought that maybe I should search and delete some of the files, even if they were within windows. I did know this was not a good idea but I went ahead with it as it was so slow anyways. I was basically getting rid of the larger files and somehow thought maybe things would work out. At one point I to this day believe I smelled the computer frying itself as it tried to delete the large files. In then end what happened was the computer would somewhat startup in a dos like way. Windows did not happen anymore and it was done. However, my roommate found a way to still play sim city on it and that was the only use it served anymore.

Memories :winkwink:

yah mine happened after an update as well , because it thinks everything is hooked into i.e.6 , but then when it finds i.e.7 it sort of makes that default , so when you ope favourites in 1.e.6 it will try to open them in i.e.7 , or basically anything that would use i.6 as default tries to open in ie6 and ie7 at the same time..

Hey Juicy I did the same shit to run a script and IE went nuts. What I did was download IE7 beta again. I cannot explain this so don't ask but now my browser looks like IE 6 instead of the fancy IE7 but I still have tabbed browsing and everything works again. :1orglaugh

Its bad enough dealing with all the problems with released versions let alone being a microsoft guinea pig for their beta versions.

My IE 7.0 stopped working last week. It just returns a server error at every page.
