retarded argument: Tomato sauce/ketchup on fishfingers?
So I've just wasted 15 minutes arguing with someone over lunch in the office..
Given fish fingers (breadcrumbed rectangles of reconstituted bland white fish) aren't really fishy fish, and they're deepfried/breadcrumbed do you think it's weird to have tomato sauce/ketchup on them? like a plate of fish fingers chips and tomato sauce? NOT in preference to tartare or BBQ sauce as though tomato is better, just a viable option. And yes fish fingers aren't any good in the first place.. and no you wouldn't put tomato sauce on nice fresh grilled/steamed fish fillets. bearing all this in mind.. weird to put tomato sauce on fish fingers or not? As in rather eat them plain than with tomato sauce? (sigh) |
Why argue about it? Taste differs, simple as that.

I love it with ketchup... BBQ sauce, it depends on what kind.

Thought they were served with tarter sauce, but people put Ketchup on everything
|
Tartar is the only way to go !

Cocktail sauce or tartar sauce. Ketchup sounds a little gross and would be one of my last choices.

fish sucks ass period eat the sauce toss the fish in the trash

Tomato sauce would prolly do a good job of disguising the ass taste of them. :)

tarter sauce mixed with Tabasco rocks
|
I have tried it and it taste good. But I prefer oyster/mushroom sauce with fish
|
Ketchup. It taste good with almost anything
|
that sounds yummy for me.

I usually have my fishfingers with fries and ketchup. Ketchup mainly for the fries, but nothing wrong with having it with fishfingers too.
