Goose vs. Laura & Pookie
Went to Eagle Creek Park today and walked around by the boat launch where we fished last week. There were a couple of geese near where we working walking that were in the water. One started honking and hissing when we walked by, so I walked Pookie closer to the water to see how agressive it was. Big mistake. It's nest must have been near the water. The goose ran out of the water and started running at Pookie but Laura scared it off and we walked away. Then we walked back but weren't really that close to the goose and had out back to him. He had been watching Pookie the whole time and he thought we were getting too close again so he flew over and went after Pookie. Laura screamed and started yelling at the goose and telling it she was going to kick it's ass. The goose kept trying to go around Laura and get at Pookie. Laura finally chased it away and we moved far away from the water to look at some boats that were in the grass that you can rent. The goose saw us walking over there and snuck around the other side of this big boat. I saw him coming but Laura and Pookie didn't. I told her the goose was coming to get Pookie and the next thing you know there's a bunch of hissing and honking and the goose is in Pookie's face again. Laura had to fight it off again, hissing and yelling and kicking at it. It chased use pretty far up the road and then planted itself in a defensive position as if to say, this is the closest you're getting to the shore, bitches, don't even try to get past me.
I wanted to take Pookie over to see the goose again but Laura wouldn't let me. I wish I had a video camera, the whole thing was hilarious. That was one agressive goose. Here's a story I found about another agressive goose: http://www.igorilla.com/gorilla/anim...policedog.html For those that don't know him, here's pictures of the world famous Pookie: http://laura99.com/pets/pookie/ |
