I can't wait!

I know it's nothing special compared to what some of you guys have, but you gotta start somewhere right?

xenigo 04-05-2006 02:57 AM

I guess. I've used that camera and it really sucks. So if you haven't ordered it already, I'd recommend picking something else. If you really want to get into photography, and are looking for something decent, I'd recommend picking up an SLR. Any SLR, actually.

LiveDose 04-05-2006 02:59 AM

Aim higher bro.

maxxx_fucktor 04-05-2006 04:15 AM

good luck on it man!

Dirty F 04-05-2006 04:17 AM

Dude, save your money 2 years more and buy a decent cam.

keep away from the kodak, i've had 2 kodak digi cams in my life and both of their shutters stopped workin... or if your going to buy it, get it somewhere with a long long waranty :p but if you do that your also wasting your money because that product they won't make anymore and they'll ask you to pay more $$ for upgrading to a new replacement......

Manowar 04-05-2006 06:53 AM

nice one dude

What kind of cameras would you guys recommend for a budget somewhere around $300?

For what? Professional use - none.

Red Ezra 04-05-2006 01:28 PM

dont buy kodak - buy canon - this is your only warning

stickyfingerz 04-05-2006 01:32 PM

Get a nikon d50. Its over twice as much, but will far exceed that camera.

Being as i'm a broke college student, a more expensive camera is kinda hard to get. Unless someone wants to donate some $ to me and i'll find some college chicks to shoot :)

Guys, i'm only looking for a camera to get me started in photography. I'm not looking to take the world greatest photos, just something to start me off.

woj 04-05-2006 03:03 PM

are you planning to shoot content? or do you just need a camera to play with?

Chrome 04-05-2006 03:36 PM

If you are starting in photography by a camera that will let you grow... get a canon rebel then as you buy lenses they will work on the pro camera bodies you'll want if you continue your photographic hobby. A fixed lens camera is really limiting unless all you want to do is shoot snap shots and if that's the case get a tiny 5-8 mega pixel camera you can put in your pocket.

that camera allows for lenses to be attached, its not a fixed lense
