So There Was This Red Lamborghini Parked Outside The ACC Tonite...
 

I was on the way in with Cameron from Teeniesxxx to catch the Leafs and sabres game tonite to the ACC. I look over and fuck isn't there this beautiful new red lamborghini gallardo parked right infront of the stadium. With a couple of yellow pilons basically stating (do not tow).

So I say to Cambo "I wonder what player owns that ride?". He says "what player? Fuck man, that car is owned by our scalper LOL".

Sure enough this awesome ride was owned by one of the fucking scalpers that sells tickets at the front gates to the ACC (and apparently sells tickets to Cam). I fucking laughed my ass off when I heard that, sure enough there was a big hummer with 22-24" rims parked right beside it and apparently that is owned by another one of the scalpers.

Now I know scalpers obviously make money but holy crap, this is alot more than $50 mark up per ticket LOL!

Am I the only one suprised by this?

Crazy, I didnt know scalpers rolled like that. However, making money by illegal means is not hard and not impressive. It's making lots of money legitimately that impresses me.

Scalpers are probably also bookies:)

I used to sell tickets on Ebay... You'd be surprised the markup.. Often times 300%+ and it was totally legal.

there's a guy with a murcielago next to me that sells furs. Mind this car here has an extra cost of $140k in taxes.

a lot of those guys have in's they have been cultivating for years. I doubt if you just start up now and make that kind of $

Traveling thru Salt Lake I went to the Delta Center for a Jazz game ... The scalper had a laptop with seating chart and high-lights for his inventory ... Very large guy next to him had the tickets and took the money .... Had to keep the line moving ........

He must be a pretty good hustler

its even better when you see a brand new bright orange lambo and the license plates have "state judge" on them. saw that a little while back

Scalping has always been a lucrative business - 100% markup is low - 200% or more is common.

I played the online ticket game for a while, but took way to much time to make a profit on ebay. Isn't hard to get front row or floor tickets to concerts if you know how to do it. Now i Just sell tickets through an affiliate program and my sports blog.

they also know a lot of the players and office staff of the teams , they have an inside track for the tickets. Its not the little shmucks who make the money, its the guys with the bucks. They also buy tickets by having a bunch of people line up for them , seen it happen at the skydome before.

That's one of the benefits of owning a Lambo,You always get GREAT parking spaces.Valets never let me park my Porsches up front.But the Lambo,they make room for it.Toss them a $20 and they stand guard during dinner.
