Most accurate GEO IP database available?

I'm currently using the IP2Location database... but it doesn't seem to be as accurate as it should be.

Anyone here know of one with excellent accuracy? Sellin it? Hit me up :thumbsup

At MayorsMoney we use an API in the Social Security and Address-to-IP database that the Govt keeps combined with the Google keyhole project.

It allows us to pinpoint each user based on the individual PC clock speed tracked and logged by Google and integrated into the DB. In other words thanks to Google and the US Social Security office we're able to track every person on earth....:pimp

I still like ip2location... Always seemed to be more accurate for more people than Maxmind.

I'll second that vote, seen it in action on some pretty tight city locations and it nailed them way more often than the other solutions I've looked at.

:thumbsup

I'm using maxmind too and it's not bad at all

anyone else have anything good / bad to say about maxmind or ip2location databases?

anything else even better?

Haven't found one that properly guesses my town yet. But thats better i'd say because it seems less fishy to the surfer when its off by 20 or so miles.

But the DBs are updated weekly/monthly, just hope that unprotected directory will still unprotected :)

Geo-IP scripts usually tell me I'm a state or two over.

AFF is usually on the money, though,.
