Cologroup - Got some good news.
For all of our customers:
We are turning off sign up's next week on Wednseday. We got a lot of cutomers, but we want to make sure you are properly taken care of. Our virtual has had problems, so we are addressing the problems by making our virtual hosting into semi-dedicated. The virtual servers will be the same, but there will be a max of 6 people on each server. That is $300 a month guaranteed income for us, which is as what we are looking for as a minimum on each server. All of our current customers will increase speed and reliability increases over the next week. Your $50/Month accounts will now be semi-dedicated servers. We manufacture our own servers and generally have 30+ on hand, but because of the demand in the past 30 days, we have sold every one of them (special note: if you ordered a server with us, your order is being fullfilled this weekend.). Just to sum it up, our goal is to deliver the best value possible, and that is what we will do. I am planning on shutting off signups next wednesday, not because we can not handle it, but because we want to ensure that our customer get the proper level of service that we offer. This is not a hold back, but a mile stone for us. We plan to increase our capacity, our staff, and quality of service over the next couple weeks. If you have any questions or requests for what you need, just get me on ICQ, email or my cell phone. I am always available for a good conversation and I would am very interested in what you are looking for. We are be working to deliver what your are asking for and attempting to exceed those needs. It is 6:50 Am and I have to catch a little sleep before I bust my ass for you tomorrow. Sincerely, Jason Trindade Cologroup |
Kick ass Jason. Congratulations! I'm looking forward to the faster servers. :winkwink:
Now get some sleep! |
cool i just thought about to move to your hosting..becouse my other hosting that i am hosted virtuell with ..is slow and have 2-5 dowtimes/weekly ..so i hope your better :thumbsup
|
Shit, that's pretty damn nice news for anyone with a virtual account @ cologroup. Well done jase :thumbsup
|
I may be the CEO of Cologroup, which means I should be my own boss, but in all reality, you guys are my boss.
I am doing this stuff for you guys. This isn't for me. |
Cologroup prices seem just too low to me! Does anyone here have any complaints with Cologroup? Downtimes etc? I would expect some downtime with virtual, what about dedicated? Are they fast enough? What about the support?
|
Nice deal! Can't wait for my dedicated server to go live!

I hope all you newbies thinking about hosting there to try and save a few bucks see this. Not to mention their CEO/Tech just went to sleep for the night... Our businesses are our lives and this "company" just seems like total shit to put your business with. That's truely the only opinion I've got about them since they started spaming this board. He offered me a free account in another post and I turned it down... no way in hell man! |
Well Amp's site cudnt have been down for days I know, cos I had visited his site just yesterday and had checked it was hosted with Cologroup. But I know one thing - anything's possible on virtual, cant really blame the host for that. But on dedicated its a different matter altogether. So which was it Amp?
|
And what's all this shit about "semi-dedicateds"... LOL
In other words his virtual hosts are not properly managed... A well run virtual host is never slow. He's esentially saying his virtual host is over crowded and undermanaged. |

I was pushing 10 Mbps on virtual once, and using up most of the processor with my scripts, hehheh. Was kicked off to dedicated very soon.

Congrats :) I know you guys run a good service.
|
I have a question, if you feel the need to turn off the sign up form because you need to make sure clients are set up right, why wait til Wednesday?
I hope some one will take some time to look at icqs/emails I have sent. I'm on dedicated so I don't have the virtual problems and maybe you are busy with that.... gg |

I will say this only once. It doesn't matter who you host with. So called adult webmasters nowadays try running scripts to cheat users and traffic trades. This has been happening since day one but has become more and more rampant as of late. The servers that run the best are dedicated servers that have decent webmasters and admins running them. These people don't like to abuse thier server because they know they are only hurting themselves. First of the year Prohosters had problems and it turned out to be webmastrs running scripts that was overloading the servers. Colo is down on virtuals probably the same reason. Russian submitter was down his excuse overloaded servers. I ask you are all these companies wrong? No. It's the cheating webmasters that think they are going to make more money cheating people. Yes while they may make good coin in the short term they are only ruining it for the real hard working webmasters out there. And thier cheats will be exposed and they will lose thier hosting and thier respect with other webmasters in this industry. Are the web hosting companies not doing thier jobs? No. They are working overtime trying to spot these types of problems and taking care of them as they happen. The only way to really make money in this business or any business is to be fair to your customers and give them what they expect. You may make less money in the short term but you'll be around longer for it thus making a lot more money in the long run. Don't believe me ? Ask the big dog's here. Listen to them thats how they became the big dogs. It takes hard work and long hours. It doesn't come over night. {/rant} and BTW Go Fuck Yourselfs :321GFY |

Whatever the reason is, i don't think anybody would mind having a semi-dedicated host rather than an overcrowded virtual host, especially if it comes at no extra cost. You're a fucking moron. |

I'm not going to delve into talking shit here, because I'm fully aware that we all run into unforeseen problems, and I'm all for giving the benefit of the doubt. But don't sit and tell me that I just gotta deal with it because "it's the cheating webmasters" fault.... because I don't fucking care. I expect it to function, regardless. |
amp, icq me.
I will actually reply back this time |

I didn't mean to imply that webmasters should have to put up with slow or non existent service. As a webmaster I expect the service I pay for also. As a tech for a web hosting company I am only giving my eyes view of what goes on. In hopes that people will see this and use it when deciding on what type of server they want to put thier high end projects on. I'm also stating there is no company that is infallible computers are stupid and only do what they are commanded to do. If they go down all of a sudden there is a reason and the reason is not always the web hosting companies fault. Yet thats the first place the finger is pointed. :winkwink: |

I personaly like negro7 hosting better!!!
|
Using scripts means a webmaster is cheating?? All webmasters use scripts, even the hun. Now you're gonna accuse him of being a low down cheating no body that brings down servers..
|
just what i need, a dead server and sleeping tech guys :/
this will be the, what, 6th time it goes down since i signed up 2 weeks ago... not very happy.... |
sleepin?

|
r u virtual or dedicated?
virtual always sux, it's a real hard kinda network to maintain... i like dedicated / colo - he has remote booters too so you can just do everything yourself. thats awesome. |

Where Did I say all scripts were for cheating. You should read more closely. I said there are more and more cheater scripts. That does not imply by any means that all scripts are cheaters. Ugh the mentality of this board sometimes ... :1orglaugh |
What kind of cheating script can bring down a server?
|
Quote:
Hit bot scripts running in conjunction with proxy scripts going through cjultra .... yes this has been done .... no I will not comment further but this is what some people are doing and calling themselves profesasional webmasters. |
bah *professional I mean ... dang no spell checker

Your the fucking moron, Idiot. All that says is that he is trying to take an overcrowded virtual host and run it like it should be. Why not just say that his his virtual host is fucked and he's going to try to move shit around to another server and make it right. You people crack me up... Your all so fucking stupid and unfortunetly you get all your information from the boards. I'm just trying to tell it like it is. You no nothing about hosting and its obvious... you fucking retard. |
