I get the feeling that some guys (no names) really do find a kind of identity on this board, and the main part of that identity is to quickly build up a high post count. They see certain known people in the industry having high post counts (mostly because they've been here a long while) and they want to be like them.

There's a few guys I see around here with extremely high post counts and I find myself wondering.... wft is it they do? I mean other than post 3 word comments or double smilies.

Then I get my ass back to work.

It doesn't feel like work when you posting bot is doing the work for you.

You can look at the signup date for the account and figure out how many posts these people are making a day. Often you are looking at hundreds of posts per day, which means this is all they do.

Some sigwhores sell their sig based on a certain number of posts and new threads per month, so they are here basically clogging up the pipes with totally worthless posts and threads, all to make $300 a month as a sig whore.

instead of a postcount, i would siggest a "characters per reply" count. Every 100 you get a point....this would avoid this kind of problems.....:D

Darksoul, I want to say that you are retarded. I am reading at least 10 times more posts than I answer and generally I put some retarded comments at retarded threads.

Where there are business threads where I can have a usefull input, generally I post. The problem is that 90% of the threads here are garbage and if I spend like 30 seconds to read them I put a post (like postcount++) because this way the process of reading was not worthless.
