when I click a link in the message.. it triggers my pop up blocker.

example:
http://www.boardsbyniche.com/board.p...3&post_id=1252

it should just open in a new window without triggering anything... right?

IF the link is setup as <a href=url target=_blank> it won't trigger your popup blocker. If the link uses javascript to call a new window, as the one on that page you posted does, it will trigger popup blocker.
