Domain Name Aftermarket.
Ok, so a domain of mine registered with GoDaddy expired at the beginning of the month. I let it slide, but I changed my mind and want it back. The domain has passed the redemption period and is now up for auction on TheDomainNameAftermarket.com with no bids.
Got two questions. First, if there are no bids on it, will it be deleted and become available for registration again? And second, does shill bidding take place on the site (example: I bid $10 for the name, they jack it up to $100 and I eventually end up paying $150 for the name). Thanks in advance for the help :thumbsup |

Just buy it back.

If it's the auction site at tdname.com I think you can just buy it now, at least thats what I did 2 weeks ago for a domain there and got it a week later.

If it's a decent name at all, I'm sure it will get a bid or two.

I don't think they do shill bidding. I have got a few good names with no other bid besides mine.

Buy it on auction, you wont get it back once its expired. if it had any traffic before, the dropcatchers will be all over it. You need to decide if its cheaper to buy it at auction or buy a new name and develop it all over...

The opening bid is $10. Less than 24 hours left with no bids. I'll bid on it last minute. Thanks for the advice, everyone :)
