Okay, I'm attempting to install a car battery into my car
all by myself :( My battery was dead, so I hard it charged at a car shop, but now I have to figure out how to put it back in.

I've never done this before.... This may be a stupid question, but is it safe to reconnect it back with my hands or do I have to do it with a special tool? There's 2 "wires" I need to connect; I connected one of the wires but when the other one touches the place where its supposed to go, I see SPARKS!

Is this normal? Because I REALLY don't want to electrocute myself :( And the negative wire is supposed to go into the negative plug, RIGHT ?

If it sparked then you are fucked. Probably blew most of the fuses at this point. When you change a battery then you should also change your blinker fluid so the conductivity remains equal to the fresh battery.

The red cable (wire) goes to the battery post that has + on or near it. The black cable goes to the other..

Put the red cable on first, then the black one.. If there are sparks, then something is on somewhere, which could be why it ran down to begin with... Just put the black over the post quick where it makes good contact. The sparks are from when it is just lightly touching the post.

Just use a wrench to tighten it. No big deal. You will be fine.

For some reason I bought a screwdriver to connect the wires so :1orglaugh I have to go to the store
later and get a wrench then...

I am headed down that way for the sex.com party, if you want I will stop by and install it for you. Do not worry about the sparks, that can be caused by a lamp under your hood for light in the dark, or from the memory on your radio.
