Someone is spamming with MY email!!!!
The past week I've been getting about 25,000+ mail delivery error emails a day. Turns out someone is using my mainstream, primary fucking email address in the reply space of their spam server and I'm getting fucked right up the ass.
People are seeing this email, a scam to get Bank Of America customers to input their banking information, then seeing my company name at the top and some are calling me, sending me hatemail etc. I tried calling the FBI..they sent me off to some fucking website to file a complaint, no contact info, just a stupid fucking form and a "best of luck". I submitted a complain along with my contact information and an example email and they respond with an email from Do Not Reply telling me to do what I had just done. I Swear to God I'm about to hire a hacker friend to track down this shit and if I find out who is doing this shit to me, I'm going to handle it my way. I don't care if they are overseas or not. The fucker is toast!   |
Nobody cares that this kind of shit is happening?
All I can say is hope it doesn't happen to you... |

Yeah i hope it doesnt happen to me to lol.
Let us know how you go, i hope you get it sorted man. Rydz. |
It's an occupational hazard, although 25,000 a day is a bit of a bastard :(
|
It might be better to call your local PD and make the report from there, at least you can get them to come to your door (maybe).
|
Try to change your password. Maybe that will help
|
I've been there too i was lucky the guy spammed with some pill sponsor which i contacted and told them to shut down the affiliate account. I dont' know if they did but it stopped since.
Try get to their money source i cut it first. Hosting, domain sponsor etc. |

Im affraid your hacker freind will be the only way to get anything done.
Its pretty common - Ive had it a couple of times - but never with those numbers. |
Happens to me often and it sucks :)
|
that sucks
|
What is the email?
|
he prob sent you a form because that the best way to start. If you live in a big city you could try your local f.b.i. offices , might get fatser help there , but if you fill in this report i guarantee some action takes place..

SPF
look into it. |
Track down the host of the page that they are sending these people to. And get them shut down. if that dont work, figure out who is giving that connection to the host.

Actually it's a rather ordinary thing.
|
Ordinary or not, when I find out who the fuck is doing this I promise to showcase his severed balls in a mason jar above one of my fireplaces. Mark my words.
I called my local FBI branch, they are worthless. He told me to fill out an online form at a site, so I did, they responded with DO NOT REPLY, go to our form and fill it out. No contact information, nothing, just a fucking form and a big fat Go fuck yourself. |
I have my developer who is a former hacker himself on top of things. I'll keep you guys posted. Every time I click Send/Recieve my blood boils.
I'm going to find him. |
hahaha this is funny. but seriously, you're not going to catch him. the police, fbi, and everyone else in the world isnt going to give a shit. just learn how to install a spam filter. and welcome to the internet.
|
no
no no no |
yes
yes yes yes |
|
check to see where the page they're sending you to is located. if its a US based host thats allowing someone to host bank scams on their network, it shouldnt be too hard to get the sites pulled.
if they're in some crazy third world country, there probably isnt shit you can do about it short of configuring your mail stuff to use that SPF shit. |
post the full headers here of one of the emails and let me check it out...

you fucking suck at the internet
|
who doesnt get spam?
|
I've gathered that the domain name used for the links is burysport.org.uk and I've done the WHo Is and contacted their ISP. They are based out of the UK.
I'm awaiting word from their ISP now. |
i would also contact Bank of America fraud dept. and tell them about the domain where the site is housed. You missed a very important issue when you contacted the FBI. This is phishing and related to identity theft which is a much bigger deal than just spamming. Although the FBI probably wont do much, i suspect that Bank of America will have a much easier time getting the site shut down from the hosting ISP...:2 cents:
|
you need to contact the secret service, not the FBI...this is exactly what the secret service is for
|
cant you close your mailserver down and return all emails?
|
Quote:
If the hate mail gets too bad, post a little note at the top of the homepage saying you did not send the emails and that the return on the spam emails was spooffed by lowlife spammers |

There are three types of people who can and will be willing to solve this guy's problem: - A hacker. - A hitman. - God. |
This is happening to me too right now as we speak.
11,000 bounce backs and counting. It's fucked my mail server up or something, can't seem to get outlook to download them all. Grrr. Not the first time either. |
stop allowing 'catch all' type aliases and the problem will end for the most part.
|
fuck, that sucks.... I hate spammers, lowlife scum.
|
Bumping old threads can be equally disappointing too.
