Bon Jovi rock. They're sugar coated and stuff but they're amazing pop song writers... and some of their tunes are heavy too... check out 'If I was Your Mother!'

They were the warmup act for Van Halen's 1984 tour (their final tour with Dave)

This was before Slippery When Wet, they had only one known hit at the time

"She's a little runaway" or "runaway"

I fell asleep for most of their set, but that song woke me up. :D

It was that performance that launched the MTV unplugged series when the producers realised it could work after initially having doubts. But I agree with Wanted Dead or Alive as my fave.

Bon Jovi, despite their success, is probably one of the most under appreciated bands over the last 20 years. They are still making new CDs and todays stuff is actually better then the old music. I recently picked up their new CD "Have a Nice Day" and was pleasantly surprised at how good it is. I listen to all kinds of Rock from death metal to folk rock. I don't care what genre a band gets lumped into, I just go by one rule: A good song is a good song.

Best Song they ever did still has to be "Wanted Dead or Alive". Other notable tunes:

People should not be allowed to use words as good, best, nice, cool when they
speak about Bon Jovi. Bon Jovi hasn't made any songs that are good, cool or
nice. In fact they should get banned from creating any kind of media containing
video or sound waves.

Of course I understand that different people have different tastes but when
it comes to Bon Jovi there is no such thing as taste.
