Wordpress question....Help a brutha out
I want to add some pages to my blog, BUT they're rather large and I don't want to have the "sidebars" displayed on these pages (it's a 3 column blog)
How do I add these pages to the blog without doing an actual hahahahahaha but still have them show up on the google sitemap and be searchable within the blog? Thanks |

You can change the layout of the pages by adding a page.php to your theme directory and modifying it accordingly. |

If you don't want the sidebar on any of your "pages" you can take it out in the page.php template. If you're trying to mix it up well I dunno.

Thankyou one and all - that will teach me to post 30 seconds after I get up in the morning :1orglaugh

I'm creating a page but now wordpress keeps fucking up. When I go to view the new page I get a 404 error. Weird.
Also, on the one page I did get working it still displays with the sidebars and header. I think I'm in over my head here. :helpme |
Have you asked for help over on the Wordpress forum?

Download the google sitmaps plugin for wordpress, it works great.

What I have done in the past is this:
Copy the index.php from the theme you are using and rename it Stick this at the top of the code Code:
<?phpSave and upload. Now, in WP, go to Write > Write Page, and you can then select your new 'your_page_name' template from Page Template on the sidebar. |
