Yeah, I submitted on last Wednesday and did not get one. I thought Outlook was munged up, but I guess not.

Va2k 05-04-2002 09:48 AM

Like I said I emailed him and he usally responds he is good for that but havent gotten nothing back. I saw something earlier about people gettting a virus from an email addy from @thun.net or something so it could be he is infected and just needs to clean his system or something who knows :(

Sly_RJ 05-04-2002 10:08 AM

Same here, tried twice.

You're a smart one aren't you? Read the first line in the first post of this subject.

I'm in the Netherlands, my servers are in LA, so my server having a problem with e-mail has ABSOLUTELY no influence as to whether I get my e-mail or not... but mailing me at thehun.net would work nicely as well

There are some problems in the mail program, problem is that those problems are not consisten. I still get a lot of submissions in and confirmed. We're on it.

Nat 05-05-2002 05:53 AM

same here, no confirmation, spoke to a friend who told me the same thing... never had any problems with your confirnation system before.. strange..

Theo 05-05-2002 06:06 AM

i just tried a yahoo mail and worked.

The Hun 05-06-2002 03:24 AM

There is a problem with the confirmation system. Trying to find what it is... Just keep trying 'till you get a confirmation. Submitting a URL that already is in the database will replace the 'old' submission, so you don't have to worry about spamming me with submissions...

What I suspect is that this new virus has something to do with it. There's a virus out there that sends e-mails to e-mail addresses found in people's cache making it appear as if these e-mails come from other people found in the cache. My site (and thus my e-mail address) is in many people's cache. We found the domain thehun.net being blacklisted from several ISP's for this reason. Funny to see they don't realise they're blacklistin the wrong domains though. But this could be part of the problem, not sure yet

Well well well, this could be part of the answer I was looking for on my "spammers" thread. It's just that some of the email addresses used on these "spam" emails are ones that I've never heard of before, and they aren't in my cache.

Well, I'm off to symantec.com to see if I can figure this out. It's hard to tell if it's a virus or not, or if I have it or if someone I know has it. Whomever invents this kind of shit is utterly and completely dimented.
