Need to get my domain name unassociated with porn!
 

i bought a domain name (eatmyshorts.com) and its not associated with porn...

but in 1998 it used to be a huge tgp, one of the biggest

and its listed everywhere as porn, which is stopping me from getting any google traffic

it also stops people from accessing the website from work because its banned.

does anyone have any ideas?

haha, now THIS is a good thread.

People here try all day long, every day to get porn traffic and get themselves listed up everywhere as the porn site to see without success, and this guy has it all and wants to throw it all away. Funny as all hell.

I am not trying to be offensive here, but dude, you are not thinking with good business sense. If you have a website where everyone is coming to buy lemonade, any intelligent business person makes sure he has plenty of lemonade for sale. People are coming to your site looking for porn. Sell them porn and find another domain to use for this mainstream idea.

My two cents that are probably worth 1/10th of one cent.

lol, i bought the domain to make a comedy site because eatmyshorts is really funny.

and it only gets 1000 visitors looking for porn daily so... thats not too bad. ive already built up thousands that come here for porn, but it used to have 500k unique looking for porn but that was 5 years ago. :\

One of the guys in our office visits eatmyshorts.com every single day and stops us all when he finds something he knows we'll all laugh at... which is pretty much every day :thumbsup

we are currently shrinking the header because it doesnt fit in the 800x600 resolution

what script is your site running?
also you can start filtering out the traffic
check your ref log's
anyone coming from porn sites redirect em via htaccess

domain getting lots of porn traffic...


one solution, turn it back into a porn site :) and get a new domain for your comedy stuff

well its not "a script" its all custom coded..so is the firewall :)

I purchased a domain name justfilthy.com to create an entertainment site. Had so much porn traffic...guess what? I went with the porn. Got another name justwicked.com and have abandoned the mainstream entertainment site and I am creating another pornsite. Do a search on Msn or live.com for filthy teens, filthy cameltoes, filthy celebs, filthy babes, filthy upskirts. Guess what - ranked #1 - 3 nearly everytime so don't fight it, use it wisely and buy another domain.

I would build the traffic back up to its previous levels - which shouldnt be that difficult (just a little hard work) and take the easy profits there
Meanwhile there are tons of good domains for the taking just by using one of the namespinner tools - I was able to buy quite a few humour domains (and some that were crosses like adultsjoke.com,blondesjoke.com and jokesaboutsex.com) just paying the reg fees after a few minutes work - but I never seem to have time to develop anything anymore so everything just goes in my domain fetish bin and up for sale LOL (doesnt help if the GlenFiddich is running freely when Im looking for domains)

Well - thats the part I was gonna ask you about - what makes you think you are banned by Google? You intimated that you dont get any Google traffic because the site is associated with porn? I know loads of porn sites that get way more traffic than that and they are strictly porn sites - and tons of them that are mixed sites (political and porn) that also get way more traffic than that from Google

well its not just google, i mean i get some google traffic

i was talking about the business networks, people at work cant access the website if their boss has the porn filter on :\
