Remote access of your HDD's?
OK, so when I go on vacation (which is ALOT), I'd like to have access to my desktop's hard drives easily and securely.
What is the easiest way for me to accompish this? Set up an FTP server locally with a dynamic ip-detecting thingy attached to a domain? Or what other ways? I'd like to have the harddrives accessible as actual drives remotely... I suppose I could just remote desktop, but direct use of the drives is ideal. Thoughts? |
lots of floppy disks

What I do is:
Leave my PC on, use VMC, and password protect my shared HDD's with a user/pass. |
Install *nix and SSHd, turn off plain text passwords and require a 4096 bit key.
