Virtual servers down with cologroup?
I've been having troubles all day and now it seems that the virtual servers are down. Anyone else here having this problem?
This is my second day with them. I'm getting scared.. |
You get what you pay for.
You want hosting for like 20 cents, you can't expect solid uptime. My own site is down less then 30 minutes per month, but I pay more for bandwidth. |

My virtual account with them was also down. I called and they said something about server upgrades, and that the downtime would be minimal. That was about 45 minutes ago, and my account is now back online.

My server is up and pushing 6mbps right now, but I have a dedicated server. Virtual hosting is crap, get your own box!

makes you wonder why these companies don't have a page that shows if there's any upgrades scheduled or downtime thats currently occurring.
i mean fuck, it sux when your site goes down. especially when the possibility of getting blacklisted on sites can occur. |
It's low buget hosting... Yeah, you pay 2 cents a gig or whatever, but there are no admins and no guarentee of uptime.
Doesn't surprise me your sites are down. |

Cologroup gives me insanely cheap prices per mbps and extremely well built colo boxes for the most cheapest price i have ever paid. Remote boot, 24 hour support via their #800 or icq, its incredible. I have never, NEVER had better prices on b/w and colo server rental ever. Their service is top notch. I stand behind cologroup, they are one hell of an awesome company. |

Virtual Hosting Server had problems for the past 2 days, I posted that on another thread as well. We've been working on it and doing upgrades and part swaps.
It is alright you posted this on GFY, because I was considering posting it myself in its own thread. Just wanted to let everyone know what was going on. So basically, you should not see any more problems from the server. Also, to avoid this we are making all the virtual hosting clustered as of this weekend. Meant to do it last weekend, but it just did not happen. If you see any hiccups tonight, let me know because the issues where all worked out from what I see now. |
And Bash, it's not low budget hosting, we have a lot of serious customers on our server that make a living doing what they do.
It is good value hosting and the problems come far and few. |

I figured I add this piece, since it is pretty obvious. The Internet connection at our office is flipping out. Connectivity has been up an down, so that is why I am not on ICQ. It keeps crapping out. Once it stablizes, I will be back on the normal 20 hours a day that you are used to seeing me.
Also, Myles, our main tech, had a problem with his computer, so we had to re-install a new system on it. Took all day yesterday, but now it is back up. So, for the past 2 days, the virtual hosting service and support has not even been close to what you can expect from us. We got the virtual hosting problems worked out and support should be back to normal this evening. Just thought I would let you know, as our goal is to delivering outstanding support and service, and I don't feel we have met that in the past 2 days. If you have any questions, just call us at 408-209-8949 or 858-456-7378. Thanks for your patience in dealing with the hiccups. I will definately make up for it. |

Why do you spam here constantly? I never see the big hosts spaming.
Your a hosts that's only been around a few months using a questionable bandwidth provider and all you do is hang out in this board and spam your banner. Your shits down your customers are complaining and your still in here trying to sell your shit every chance you get. |
Pimphost, I have to agree with Bash. You do spam like crazy. Every thread about hosting and even not about hosting all you do is spam your cologroup??....Can I ask you if you got your sales training selling used cars??

Well i couldnt keep my big mouth shut. I have to chime in and say that i HAVE seen many, allegedly, big hosts spamming here. BTW i defnitely consider Cologroup a big provider. I happen to know quite a few FreeHosts who have SEVERAL dedicated boxes at Cologroup. Surprise, they aren't lacking freehost sign ups. Give him a break! Jason didn't even start the thread, he was just responding. Imagine the hell he would have caught if he didn't respond. Thats my:2 cents:
