Just signed the petition! :thumbsup
"BUT THEY WILL TAKE ...OUR FREEEEEEDUUUUUM" |
Why would they want to bother with that... most of the pirated software is sold outside of the US.
|
I just set the page to a friend on mine...
Just yesteday he had me teach him how to make copies of his CD's with Nero. With the following Msg... Your going to Jail Rubin,,,,, because after teaching people how to burn CD's. I as a law abiding person, have to turn your Brown ass in...:winkwink: |
That will never pass, the whole reason cd burners were designed were for make a reasonable amount of bank up copies for yourself, how would it tell if you were backing up a copy for yourself or burning the cd for a friend?
|
These guys know it won't pass.. they're just wanting to paint a pretty picture of themselves in the eyes of big companies. Is it nearing election time or somethin?
|
It's god dam stupid..... And why in the heck are these
Congressmen and Senators wasting our money dicking around with something like this.... I'd get rid of everyone of them RAT now if I could... I really wonder how much this kind of stuff cost the tax payers of this country? I bet NOT one (1) of them even knows how to turn on a computer. Some people are sooooooooo Stupid.. |
"anyone who defies the government by disabling or tampering with the policeware on their own computer, in the privacy of their own home or business, would also face five years in the slammer."
Yeah, probably in he same prison with all those who tear the tags off mattresses. |
So what's new? There are already copyright laws in place that no one enfocrces. Think the police are going to come to your house and arrest you because you made a copy of a CD?
Besides, there will be a quick fix to bypass all of their software before the law goes into effect..... |
its a joke, if not it will be funny to see 25% of the American population is jail.
|
"The law would force all new personal computers and digital home entertainment devices sold in the United States to have government-approved "policeware" built-in."
Perhaps I'm missing something, andt his is a stupid question, but if this law is going to affect only new PCs, can't I just keep an old PC around for the purposes of burning CDs? It's not like I need the latest, greatest system just to rip mp3s. |
old computers break at some point in time. But don't be serious with this, its a joke or America is stupid.
Figure each person is worth 8,000 for tax. You throw 10 Million people in jail for downloading Star Wars or something. That is : 80000000000 lost taxable income. You now need to run a facility which can hold those 10 Million people, and pay for their meals etc.... Now all the mom & pop business fails because the owner is in jail and their few employees are out of work. Bleh I'm not wasting more time on a joke, but you can see its Bullshit. |
I read the first line and this is already unconstitional.
|
5 years in prision for burning a music CD? 3rd degree murder has less of a penalty.
FUCK THOSE COMMUNISTS! |
