    The New Canon 30D Now Available

    Just in time for the Phoenix Forum.

    I bought the 20D in April and a few days later learned that the 30D was coming out. So.... I returned the 20D.
    I just got a call from the camera store and the 30D is in and waiting for me.

    Perfect! Now I can take it to Phoenix!



    There really isn't that much difference between the two cameras... but my biggest complaint with the 20D was the samll LCD screen on the back. It's larger on the 30D and there are a few other enhancements as well.

              Might not have wanted to trade in that 20D so quickly! I just spoke with the guy at Samy's - a HUGE camera store here in LA - and he said of ALL the digital cameras...that's right, "all"...the 20D has the best service record. In other words, the least repaired digital camera for Samy's is the 20D.

                                  I hear you. But the 30D is almost identical to the 20D. I've had Canon cameras for over 20 years and have always been pleased. It made no sense to get the older 20D when the new 30D was coming out in a matter of weeks. Especially when the new one addressed the very concern I had about the 20D.

                                              wow, that looks great. We have the 20D and we love it (also have the regular Rebel in non-digital)... it'll be a little while before I upgrade, but I'll definitely consider the 30D.
