Question about TopBucks

I tried using topbucks a little while back on a trial basis to see how promptly they pay and how much they shave if at all. I only promoted one site for a few days just to get a few sales then I waited to see how long it would take to get a check. A month later I sent them an e-mail because I never got the check. On the 24th of April I got a reply saying that a check had been sent a month eairler and that If I did not receive the check by April 21st I should e-mail them back. Sence it was the 24th when I got the e-mail I replyed to them and said that I had never received a check. The reply I got was that they would send it to accounting but would charge me $50 of the $105 to send me another check. Anyway I was just wondering if anyone has had any problems with topbucks checks getting lost then being charged for a new check. I am just trying to decide if this was just a fluke.

I get paid every two weeks with no problem. Have been using them (or topcash) for about a year now.

GreenBooger 05-03-2002 09:55 AM

Good people don't take half your check in processing !

Is that a story ?

snowpimp 05-03-2002 11:05 AM

they're one of my best sponsors. they convert well, pay on time and i like working with them. i do think that was just a fluke. although i have to admit, $50 seems a little high to issue a stop payment and re-issue a check.

Sly_RJ 05-03-2002 11:08 AM

I have no problems and will continue to stick with them. After reading this thread they may reconsider the $50 check.

FlyingIguana 05-03-2002 11:16 AM

50 bux is excessive. they should just reissue the cheque if its not recieved in a couple months. sometimes things do get lost in the mail, but no sense to profit from it.

NBritte,

TopBucks does have a $50 stop payment fee, but we could do something for your case since your check is for $105 and $50 is half of that. Topbucks always sends webmasters their checks on time and the stop payment fee may seem a bit high but it exists for some reasons:

Having a $50 fee deters webmasters from trying to do stop payments when they are unnecessary. It reduces a lot of hassle and confusion that stop payments and re-issues cause (many times webmasters ask for stop payments and receive the check the next day), and it help keeps the webmasters more responsible about updating addresses and forwarding mail

Anyway, send me an email and I'll see what I can do for ya.

Thnx

Alli

your such a dirty girl, i get excited when i read your posts:)

Yeah the $50 is what they charged me the one time I was missing a check as well.

Remember though, the check won't say "topbucks" anywhere on it. It will come from "Cyberheat Inc" so make sure you didn't already get it but just not know what it was for.

Thanks for the replys, it seems that just about everyone has the same opinion about topbucks so I will just assume that the problem was something that doesnt happen very often.

I get really bad conversions from TopBucks but they always pay on time.

LoveAsianChicks 05-04-2002 09:19 AM

Just cut him another check. Maybe $1.50 - $3.00 to re-send, but $50 is too much on a $105 check.
Half his money down the drain and it wasn't his fault the check didn't arrive.
