Who knows hoe to get a hold of "Namecheap"
Does anyone have the phone# for namecheap???
|
They are quite good about returning emails promptly (in my experience anyway). Usually within an hour or two max. http://www.namecheap.com/contact.asp
Not sure if they have a publicly listed phone number anywhere, ive never seen one. |
namecheap seems to be a cheap company
try emailing them at [email protected] and they should respond in 1-2 days.... |
I got a qucik response using the form the only time I needed support from them.

that sucks man don't know what to tell you. |
Here's some companies that appear to be in the same building as them and whose names don't make it obvious what they do ... perhaps one is the parent company / alternate name of namecheap?

I was having the same problem as you... I was locked out because I did something to set off their "fraud alert". (All I did was open up a new account and purchase about 8 domains in a week)
They have no phone number you can reach them at. I did manage to find one with an answering machine on it, but it obviously wasn't checked by anyone and they wouldn't do support through it. Basically you have to email support and tell them that you are locked out, then they will email you back saying that you have to wait for them to call you at the phone number listed on your account so they can verify your info. I was having trouble being home to get their phone calls since they would not give me a firm time that they would be calling, so that didn't work for me either. I ultimately had to send them a scan of my driver's license and credit card, which was totally pathetic as far as I am concerned. Haven't had a problem since though. |
Forgot to mention, email this guy:
rick at namecheap.com I believe he is CEO of namecheap and often helps people on some of the bigger domain name forums under the nick "enetwork". |

Try using an ICANN accredited registrar next time instead of a reseller. That's all Namecheap is.
|
Namecheap is reselling Enom. You can try calling Enom directly at 425.274.4500 and let them know you've been trying for 2+ weeks to reach Namecheap; Enom may be able to help you directly since it's their backend that runs everything.
One other thought: If you have a bunch of domain names, you can get a reseller account with Enom. The only requirement is ponying up $900 or so dollars to buy 100 domain name credits in advance. These can then be used to register new domain names or renew existing ones at around $9/domain/year (some TLDs are higher.) By doing that, you eliminate the middleman and get direct access to the Enom registration engine and phone support (which, btw, is generally excellent) from Enom. |
Many thanks !!!
Yeah! I signed up a week before I bought 4 domains, just as compleated the purchase I went back to my account page and I have been locked out ever since. I mailed support every day since it has happend, with the EMAIL i signed up my account. I will try this rick guy hopefully His mail works. Thanks again! bird Quote:

So I contacted Enom, and they have no contact information for namecheap! the only thing they were able to do is email the same support address I have been messageing for the last two weeks.
That's great that enom don't even have contact info for there own reseller.. Enom says that the domains I registered were registered then deleted, Nice!!! My bank account shows a transaction from namecheap. Now I am out $$$ and domain names. The Bank is interested why they have no phone# so, are going to start an inquiry about Namecheap and if they can not find a contact then the investigation process starts. This really sucks, I heard alot of good things about Namecheap, But My experience with them so far make me want to go 9/11 on there ass, It's only $30 bucks but the hassel and the customer I lost makes me ERRR! Quote:

Hello Bird,
I'm not sure what phone number you are trying to call(1.6613102107?) but if you left a message, we do return all calls. We also have support reps providing email support 24/7 so if you have sent an email to us and have not received a reply I would check your spam folders. Most support emails that are sent to us are replied to within 1-2 hours unless they are escalated or have to do with fraud. You can also reach me directly at an alternate email address which is Richard at ExpertCreations dot com just in case. Please shoot me an email to the address above and I will personally get all of this sorted for you and try to figure out where the break down in communication is coming from so that it does not happen to you again. |
